More Pokemon titles may be announced next year, including remakes for Pokemon Black and White and a Pokemon Legends Unova game.
The inclusion of Enamorus, a rare and formidable creature, exclusively in Pokemon Legends: Arceus could potentially pave the way for a Pokemon Legends Unova game where Game Freak can delve into unresolved mysteries and introduce this remarkable species.
The season of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is still going strong with the release of The Teal Mask DLC, and there is another expansion on its way in the coming months. Following the trend of previous releases, it is likely that more Pokemon games will be announced next year. A popular option that many fans are hoping for is remakes of Pokemon Black and White, since Gen 4 received similar treatment in the past. Another potential title that players are excited about is a Pokemon Legends Unova game, which would not only bring back the beloved Pokemon Legends: Arceus formula but also give Gen 5 its moment in the spotlight. There have been hints suggesting the possibility of Pokemon Black and White 3 or a Pokemon Legends sequel for the Unova region, but a Pokemon Legends Unova game would make the most sense in the context of modern games. With the inclusion of the Original Dragon, a fusion of Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem, it would serve as the perfect mascot and also provide Game Freak with the opportunity to address a major mystery from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus Can't be The Only Game Where Enamorus is Available
The Enamorus in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is not just a powerful creature to have on any team, whether it's for competitive play or not, but it also possesses a unique characteristic. Enamorus belongs to the Forces of Nature, also known as the genie trio from Pokemon Black and White, but it was not originally included in the original games. In fact, players can only obtain Enamorus in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, making it the fourth member of the group, responsible for controlling the sphere of love and hate.
Although the addition of Enamorus is not unprecedented, as previous Pokemon games have introduced new members to existing evolutionary lines or taken alternative paths for established creatures like the Galarian Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos, it is worth noting that Pokemon Legends: Arceus is not a mainline game. Currently, Enamorus can only be obtained in this particular game. It would make sense for Game Freak to consider releasing a Pokemon Legends Unova game or some kind of follow-up title for Generation 5, in which Enamorus could be included alongside the other members of the Forces of Nature.
Enamorus's strong presence in the competitive scene and its positive reception in Pokemon Legends: Arceus indicate that new Pokemon Gen 5 games may be on the horizon. The fact that Enamorus is exclusively available in Pokemon Legends: Arceus further supports this theory. While Enamorus can be obtained in Gen 9 through Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Pokemon Home, it remains inaccessible to most players. Introducing a Pokemon Legends game set in the Unova region would not only showcase Enamorus but also provide a fresh Gen 5 experience that is distinct from the usual remakes. Regardless of Game Freak's future Pokemon game plans, it is highly likely that Enamorus will play a role, particularly if the games are part of the mainline series. Otherwise, this Fairy/Flying creature may remain confined to Pokemon Legends: Arceus for an extended period.
