Chapter 212 revealed a surprising turn of events as Sukuna switched to Megumi's body, leaving Yuji stunned. This set the stage for an intense storyline featuring a fierce showdown between Megumi-Sukuna and Yuji. Following this, Sukuna incapacitated the ancient sorcerer Angel and Hana Kurusu, whose body Angel had been possessing.
Enraged, Yuji and Maki Zen'in pressed on with their attacks, but their efforts were thwarted when Sukuna's ally, Uraume, used their Cursed Technique, Frost Calm, to freeze them in place. The antagonist duo then took advantage of the situation and made their escape.

In the Jujutsu Kaisen story, Sukuna participates in the "Bath" ritual as described by Uraume. This ceremony is meant to turn a vessel into a cursed tool for defense against external dangers. The vessel is immersed in a solution infused with Cursed Energy obtained from crushing venomous creatures for a period of ten months and ten days.
Kenjaku asks about the Bath's purpose, and Uraume clarifies that it is designed to lure the vessel near evil in order to submerge the soul of the vessel's original owner—in this case, Megumi's soul.
Sukuna went on to divulge his nefarious intentions of completely possessing the body of Megumi Fushiguro by murdering Megumi's sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro.

Sukuna believes that if Megumi were to witness his sister's death through his own body, it would devastate his soul and bury it forever in despair, allowing Sukuna to fully reincarnate into the world.
The Jujutsu Kaisen story then follows the conflict between Sukuna and Yorozu, an ancient Heian Era sorcerer reincarnated in Tsumiki's body. Yorozu's defeat by Sukuna also marks the end of Tsumiki Fushiguro.

Following this, Sukuna proceeds to battle Satoru Gojo, making use of Fushiguro's body and his Ten Shadows Cursed Technique, specifically harnessing his powerful shikigami, the Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga.
The legendary confrontation between Sukuna and Gojo reaches its climax as Gojo seemingly falls in battle, setting the stage for a new conflict between Sukuna and the ancient sorcerer, Hajime Kashimo.

Amidst the intense confrontation, Sukuna emerged in his true form to heal his body from the injuries inflicted by Gojo. His true form revealed four arms and two faces. With Sukuna now inhabiting the vessel body, it seems unlikely that Megumi Fushiguro will return.
While Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu hinted at having plans to rescue Megumi in chapter 220, it's important to note that the antagonist has not yet taken over Megumi’s body. As a result, current speculation suggests that saving Megumi at this point may be impossible.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I am thrilled with the recent developments in the manga, particularly the exploration of Megumi's true body and soul. The body swap with Sukuna has added an intriguing layer of complexity to the story, and I can't wait to see how it all plays out. I'm also excited to learn more about Sukuna's true intentions and motivations.
The fate of Megumi's original body and soul is a major concern for me. I'm worried that Sukuna will succeed in completely possessing Megumi's body, which would have devastating consequences for both Megumi and the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. I'm also curious to see how Yuji and the other characters will react to Megumi's situation and what they will do to try to save him. Overall, I'm really enjoying the current arc of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and I can't wait to see what happens next.
