Brian Szasz, the stepson of British billionaire Hamish Harding, gained attention on social media when he shared that he had attended a Blink-182 concert while his stepdad, aged 58, was still somewhere in the North Atlantic Ocean during the search for the missing Titanic submersible.

Szaz, 37, expressed his conflicting emotions about being at the Blink-182 show in a Facebook post on Monday, June 19. Despite feeling uneasy about his presence, he believed that his family would want him to be there, as the band held a special place in his heart and their music provided solace during difficult times. In a direct message to band member Tom DeLonge, Szaz shared the distressing news of his stepfather's disappearance at the Titanic site, expressing his gratitude for the support he found at the San Diego show. However, after his mother, Linda Harding, requested it, Szaz decided to remove the Facebook post. Nevertheless, the internet quickly caught wind of the situation, leading to criticism from Cardi B, who questioned Szaz's decision to attend the concert while his stepfather was still missing.

"People are questioning, 'Should he just be sad at home? Should he search for him on his own?'" the rapper, who is 30 years old, expressed in a video on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, June 20. "Yes, I am expecting him to be at home feeling down. I anticipate him shedding tears for me. I anticipate him being right beside the phone, eagerly waiting for any updates regarding my well-being."

In retaliation, Szasz criticized Cardi B through a series of tweets. "What an awful and trashy celebrity. Cardi B is attempting to gain attention from my family's suffering," he stated. "Instead of staying home and watching the news, I chose to attend a Blink 182 concert for solace. Shame on you, Cardi. Show some decency!"

Though Linda advised Szasz to delete his original message about Blink-182, he has continued to be active on social media. Despite Hamish's absence on Wednesday, June 21, Szasz responded to an OnlyFans model who posted a provocative selfie with the caption, "Can I sit on u?" Szasz enthusiastically replied, "Yes please!"

Hamish, Szasz's stepfather, and four other individuals who were on the Titan submersible have been missing since Sunday, June 18. The submersible was en route to the wreckage of the Titanic, which sank in 1912 and rests 12,500 feet below the surface approximately 350 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. The Canadian research vessel lost contact with the Titan after an hour and 45 minutes into its dive on Sunday, with the expectation that it would resurface later that day. As of Tuesday night, it is feared that the passengers on board have less than two days' worth of oxygen remaining.

The United States Coast Guard has been conducting an extensive search for the Titan in an area exceeding the size of Connecticut, receiving assistance from foreign vessels. During a press conference held on Wednesday, Captain Jamie Frederick of the Coast Guard revealed that a Canadian search plane had picked up unidentified sounds within the designated search zone overnight. However, he admitted, "To be honest, we are unsure of their origins."

He openly expresses his love for the group on various social media platforms, evident from his Instagram and Twitter handles that incorporate the number 182. In April, he proudly displayed a tattoo of a cassette tape bearing the band's name, and he has had the opportunity to meet DeLonge, aged 47, on at least two occasions. Szasz shared photographs of himself with the guitarist in January 2018 and November 2019.
