Rock is experiencing a resurgence, and Blink-182 is fully aware of this.
After a long hiatus, the band has reunited, with Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker coming together to release their first new album in twelve years.
"One More Time" will release on Friday, Oct 20.
DeLonge explained the impetus for their new work in a trailer for the project
"What you should know about Blink-182 is that we didn't originate from happy households," he stated. "We emerged from a background of heartbreak, fractured families, and constant conflicts," he added. "Therefore, Blink has always been a means to inject positivity into the atmosphere."
Barker expressed that the new album draws some inspiration from the personal tragedies the band members have faced throughout the years.

"In the album, the song One More Time explores the question of why it always takes calamities, such as my involvement in a plane crash or Mark falling ill, for our band to reunite," he stated.
Barker sustained critical injuries in a Learjet plane crash in 2008, which sadly claimed the lives of four out of six individuals on board. In 2021, Hoppus disclosed that he was receiving cancer treatment.
In a recent development, Barkers spouse, the renowned reality star and entrepreneur Kourtney Kardashian, underwent a time-sensitive procedure for their impending first child due to her current pregnancy.
As a result of a medical emergency, the band had to halt their tour, which they had commenced in April. While Blink-182 had previously released two albums featuring guitarist Matt Skiba, namely "California" in 2016 and "Nine" in 2019, the forthcoming album marks the first reunion of the band's original lineup in 12 years.
