Bethesda is hosting Wasteland Classroom streams throughout a two-week duration, along with anniversary challenges and rewards. The celebration will reach its peak on November 14th with a birthday parade and an Atom giveaway.
Fallout 76 is currently available for free on both PC and consoles as part of a limited promotion celebrating the game's fifth anniversary. Despite its initial disappointing launch in November 2018, plagued by technical problems and a lack of content, Bethesda has spent the past five years diligently improving the multiplayer shooter, catering to both solo and multiplayer gamers, and continuously adding new content. This ongoing support has greatly enhanced the game, resulting in an active and thriving player community that remains strong to this day.
Starting from the final full week of October 2023, the shooter game will be available for free play on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam. This is just the beginning of the game's anniversary celebrations, which started on October 23, also known as Fallout Day. Amazon Prime Gaming subscribers will also have the opportunity to get the special Fallout 76 Birthday Bundle in the game until November 28. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can avail of the same offer from Tuesday, October 24.
During this free-to-play week, there will be the Spooky Scorched event, which runs from tomorrow until November 7. Players of Fallout 76 will have the chance to hunt down costumed Scorched mobs that will drop Spooky Treat Bags, Mystery Candy, legendary weapons, and armor. The event will also feature a free Spooky Candy Bowl in the Atomic Shop, where players can store and share their Spooky Scorched drops with others who visit their camp. Giving out candy using this container will contribute to Halloween challenges and rewards.
Bethesda has planned to host two Wasteland Classroom streams on October 25 and November 1. These streams aim to assist both new and returning players in enhancing their in-game knowledge. Throughout the Twitch broadcasts, Fallout 76 Atoms will be given away by the developer. Furthermore, during a two-week period ending on November 21, players will have access to anniversary challenges and rewards in the game.
November 14 marks the actual five-year anniversary of Fallout 76. Bethesda will celebrate this day by hosting another Twitch stream that includes a birthday parade with floats and a generous Atom giveaway. These anniversary festivities coincide with Fallout 76 Season 14, which began on August 22 and is scheduled to conclude on December 5.
