Considering that Dragon Ball Super will eventually come to an end, it would be wise to reserve fusions as a reliance for only the utmost pinnacle of strength in the final arc. This way, they can be used against the strongest villains who cannot be defeated through any other means. Additionally, the primary timeline could draw inspiration from Super Dragon Ball Heroes, where the convergence of timelines causes multiple versions of heroes to coexist and allows for the presence of both fusions simultaneously.

This could create a situation where a formidable threat requires both Vegito and Gogeta to combat it.
