In episode 13 of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, titled "Red Scale," Yuji proceeds to Shibuya Station after leaving Inumaki with the objective of eliminating all the transfigured individuals lurking outside. Upon entering the station, Yuji unexpectedly finds himself under attack by none other than Choso, driven by his determination to avenge the demise of his fellow Death Painting sorcerers.

Choso employed his Blood Manipulation technique to launch an attack on Yuji, inflicting some damage. At that moment, Mechamaru reappeared and initiated communication with Yuji, suggesting that they take the fight to the bathroom. Once there, Yuji drenched Choso with water, causing his Blood Manipulation to become disrupted.

Despite sustaining injuries, Yuji persisted in the battle and identified an opportunity to defeat Choso. Regrettably, Choso had wisely safeguarded himself, thus thwarting Yuji's plan. Just as the half-curse was on the verge of killing Yuji, false memories flooded his mind, portraying Yuji as one of Choso's fellow Death Painting brothers. Consequently, Choso spared Yuji.
