Unveiling the Do-hee Menace: Unearthing the Hidden Villain

A mysterious villain lurks in the shadows of My Demon, threatening Do-hee's life as she embarks on a journey of love Unveiling the true identity of this malevolent force, the series delves into the dark secrets hidden within her own family

Similar to other K-dramas, My Demon incorporates a thrilling plot alongside the love story between Do-hee and Gu Won, while a central villain lurks in the shadows – and a new theory may connect the pieces.

Do-hee’s life is far from perfect. The Netflix K-drama depicts her as an orphan who was taken in by Joo Cheon-sook (Madam Ju), the founder and CEO of Mirae Group, after losing her parents at a young age. Cheon-sook becomes a mother figure to Do-hee and admires her for her genuine nature, in contrast to her own spoiled children.

Following her mysterious demise, Do-hee is appointed as the chairperson--but on the condition that she is married. However, a malevolent force emerges as a secretive presence in the K-drama plot, intent on ending her life and collaborating with a ruthless murderer to accomplish their goal. As Gu Won and Do-hee's relationship blossoms, so do the villain's sinister strategies in My Demon.

A prevalent hypothesis may have unraveled the mystery and validated fans' belief about the identity of the perpetrator.

The villain in My Demon is within the family

A theory posted on Reddit breaks down that the possible villain of My Demon is none other than  Noh Seok-min, Madam Ju’s firstborn son.

The K-drama frequently portrays the mysterious antagonist in a sleek leather jacket and has ties to the serial killer targeting Do-hee. As fans are aware, the killer is fixated on Do-hee and her family. This individual has attempted various tactics, from using acid to obtaining Gu Won’s demon manual and stabbing him. However, according to the speculation, Seok-min is the most probable suspect to be the villain.

The details of the leather jacket he wore at the shooting range with Do-hee are just the beginning. According to the theory, "He was the one who sent Do-hee to prison, and the villain needed Do-hee to be separated from Gu Won in order to kill him. There's also a scene where he tells his wife that this is the end when the news of Do-hee's arrest comes out. I think this is probably because he found out that Gu Won is dead by the serial killer."

Many fans started to suspect that Seok-min’s son, Noh Do-gyeong, was the killer due to his erratic behavior and displays of violence. Another suggestion in the theory is that Do-gyeong is actually uncovering his father's plan, which would explain why he went to the meetup point at the subway station after the killer and found nothing.

Seok-min is believed to have murdered his mother for a specific motive and his association with the killer. Furthermore, Seok-min strongly opposed an autopsy. This theory is echoed in My Demon when Madam Ju comments that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

"A possibility exists that Noh Suk Min was the result of an affair between Madam Ju's husband and another woman," the fan suggested. "What if the serial killer is Noh Suk Min's secret love child with someone else, and only Madam Ju was aware of this?"

Madam Ju's family never accepted the serial killer as he was an illegitimate child. However, Madam Ju raised an orphan, Do-hee, who may have been the target of the killer's long-held grudge. Will this theory be confirmed by the finale of My Demon?

Editor's P/S

As a hard fan of the K-drama "My Demon," I am intrigued by the theory that Noh Seok-min, Madam Ju's firstborn son, is the hidden villain. The evidence presented in the article, such as his connection to the serial killer, his suspicious behavior, and his possible motive for wanting Do-hee out of the way, certainly makes him a compelling suspect. I appreciate the show's writers for keeping us guessing and for creating such a complex and suspenseful plot.

I am also impressed by the way the show explores the themes of family, love, and betrayal. Do-hee's journey from orphan to potential heir of a powerful corporation is filled with both heartwarming moments and heartbreaking challenges. Her relationship with Gu Won is both passionate and complicated, and the presence of the villain adds an extra layer of danger and excitement to their story. Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying "My Demon" and can't wait to see how the mystery unfolds in the upcoming episodes.
