Unveiling the Dark Path: A Compelling Theory on Yuji's Future in Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen's intriguing theory proposes a shocking twist - could the beloved protagonist, Yuji Itadori, potentially transform into an unexpected villain? Delve into the captivating possibilities of this riveting storyline

In Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist, but what if he were to become a villain? That's the premise of a recent fan theory.

After Gojo's tragic death at the hands of Sukuna, fans are eager to see Yuji take on and defeat the king of curses. Despite being no match for Sukuna, social media has been buzzing with theories that Yuji will ultimately be the one to put Sukuna in his place.

The recent chapters of JJK have showcased the humorous battle between Fumihiko Takaba and Kenjaku. Kenjaku is notorious for being one of the most malevolent sorcerers, using various bodies to carry out heinous acts throughout his life. His true appearance remains a mystery, as he has inhabited different bodies since his debut.

Interestingly, Kenjaku once took over the body of a deceased woman named Kaori, and fathered Yuji with Jin Itadori. It is clear that the ancient sorcerer used corpses to assume new identities and harness the abilities of the bodies. However, the reason for him fathering multiple children, including Yuji and Choso, remains a mystery.

Yuji has always been a savior

From the start of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji has been portrayed as an honorable young man who enrolls in Jujutsu High in order to carry out his late grandfather's final request. With guidance from Gojo and Nanami, Yuji has consistently demonstrated his role as the protector of humanity.

Despite not having the same innate abilities as his peers, he proves himself to be a formidable fighter on the battlefield, often coming to the aid of those in danger. As the main protagonist, he unwittingly becomes a vessel for the evil curse, but remains loyal to the sorcerers when they require his assistance. Ultimately, he is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to defeat the king of curses, showing his unwavering dedication to the cause.

Can Yuji turn against humanity?

Chapter 243 unveils the dramatic twist of Takaba's tactic to divert Kenjaku's attention and ultimately lead to his demise at the hands of Yuta. However, it is revealed that it is actually Geto’s body that is decapitated by the young sorcerer, leaving the true fate of Kenjaku unclear. Nevertheless, Kenjaku’s final words in Geto’s body, "My will will be inherited," adds an intriguing layer to the unfolding events.

The implications of the final words are significant. One interpretation suggests that Kenjaku's brain could be transplanted into a deceased body, allowing him to return with a new identity.

Another possibility suggests that Yuji, with sorcerer's blood running through his veins, may inherit Kenjaku's will or desires as his son.

According to a Twitter user, it seems that Yuji will ultimately turn against the good guys. The tweet reads: “Yuji itadori will become a villain. Kenjaku, at his death, said, ‘My will will be inherited. I think he cursed Yuji. Yuji’s role in the story has always been a vessel. I think he’s gonna be the center of the merger even if it’s not on purpose.”

As a Gen Z netizen, I have mixed feelings about the theory that Yuji Itadori could potentially become a villain in Jujutsu Kaisen. On one hand, I think it would be a very interesting twist and would add a lot of depth to the story. On the other hand, I'm not sure if I'm ready to see Yuji turn evil. I've grown to love him as a character and I'm not sure if I could handle seeing him become someone I hate.

I think the theory has a lot of potential, but I'm not sure if it's something that I would want to see happen. I'm more interested in seeing Yuji continue to grow as a hero and eventually defeat Sukuna. However, I'm also open to the possibility of seeing Yuji turn evil if it's done in a way that makes sense for the story.

Overall, I think the theory that Yuji could become a villain is a very interesting one and I'm excited to see what happens next in Jujutsu Kaisen.
