The movie depicted the lives of five emotions - Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger - residing in the mind of a young girl named Riley as she grew up.
Inside Out achieved enormous success, earning $858.8 million at the box office and prompting the quick approval of a sequel. The trailer for the sequel has recently been released, breaking Disney's trailer records.
Inside Out 2 takes over former Disney trailer record
Disney recently revealed that Inside Out 2‘s first teaser trailer received over 157 million views in 24 hours, with 78 million of those views coming from TikTok.
The Frozen sequel, with its trailer, surpassed Frozen 2 as the most viewed Disney animated trailer, receiving an impressive 101 million views. Chief Creative Officer of Pixar, Pete Docter, expressed his excitement at the response, stating, "We are thrilled so many people have tuned in to check out the new trailer for 'Inside Out 2'. When the first film was released, we recognized that by delving into a narrative that showcases our emotions - those internal voices within us - there would be an abundance of unexplored territory that couldn't possibly be contained in just one film."
The success of the trailer mostly comes the appearance of the one the new emotions Anxiety, who is voiced by Maya Hawke.
A lot of fans took to Twitter to express their delight at seeing such a complex emotion be portrayed in such a way that everyone can see themselves in her.
While an official synopsis of the film's plot is currently unavailable, Disney recently provided a glimpse of what fans can anticipate by stating, "Inside Out 2 takes us back into the world of Riley, now a teenager, as her headquarters faces an unexpected demolition to make way for something entirely new: new Emotions!
