Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, who began dating in 2016, have emerged as a prominent Hollywood couple. They now have a growing family of their own. Back in December 2017, we were the first to reveal that the duo, who tied the knot in secret in July 2022, were anticipating their first child. Dunst, during a photo session for Rodarte's Fall-Winter 2018 lookbook, proudly showcased her baby bump. Their son Ennis was born in May 2018, marking the couple's first child together.
Dunst explained to Jimmy Kimmel in September that they opted for a unique name for their baby boy, likening it to an old cowboy name. They found it online while browsing through baby websites and instantly liked the sound of it.
In a W Magazine feature, Dunst and her "Fargo" costars revealed they were expecting their second child. During the shoot, Dunst humorously mentioned that she felt like Urkel because she couldn't get up and had to do all the shots on the floor.
Dunst, who appeared alongside her current husband in the films Fargo (2015) and Power of the Dog (2022), welcomed their son James Robert in June 2021. In a September 2021 profile with The New York Times, Dunst affectionately referred to James as "the Big Kahuna" and described him as an angel with a big appetite and substantial weight.

Everything Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons Have Said About Parenting, Raising 2 Sons Through the Years
Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have been a Hollywood power couple since they started dating in 2016 — and now they have their own family together.
In December 2017, we reported that the star of "Bring It On" and the alum of "Friday Night Lights" secretly got married in July 2022 and were expecting their first child. During a photoshoot for Rodarte’s Fall-Winter 2018 lookbook, Dunst proudly showcased her baby bump. Their firstborn son, Ennis, was born in May 2018.
When asked about their choice of name for their baby boy, Dunst explained to Jimmy Kimmel in September that they discovered it online while browsing through baby websites. They instantly liked the unique and cool sound of the name.
After almost three years, the co-stars of "Fargo" shared the news of their second baby on a W Magazine feature. During the photoshoot, Dunst humorously commented to the magazine that every shot was taken on the floor and she jokingly compared herself to Urkel, expressing her difficulty in getting up. Dunst, who acted alongside her now-husband in "Fargo" in 2015 and "Power of the Dog" in 2022, welcomed their son James Robert in June 2021.
"This is our latest addition, the Big Kahuna," she disclosed to The New York Times in a September 2021 profile, finally unveiling James' moniker. "He's a delightful angel, although quite voracious and burdened."
She playfully added, "I'm utterly exhausted; a full night's sleep has eluded me for four months. I even have an eye twitch now. Yes, I find myself in a truly unique situation."

Dunst, speaking at the TCA Summer Press Tour while promoting On Becoming a God in Central Florida, acknowledged feeling constantly tired and emphasized the challenges of balancing work and motherhood. She further disclosed in an interview with Net-A-Porter that her first pregnancy was unexpected, expressing gratitude for meeting her partner Jesse.
The Spider-Man actress expressed her joy in becoming a mother, but was hesitant about her son Ennis pursuing acting like her and Plemons.
"I understand why people do it if they have an incredibly cute kid," she explained to the magazine. "They can make money for college by doing a Gap advertisement. It's the first time I've really comprehended it. Ennis is incredibly adorable, with two noticeable dimples. He's such a happy baby, and I can see why I would want a keepsake of him at this age. However, we will likely steer him towards school plays."

Several months later, Plemons gushed to GQ that first-time fatherhood was “the best.”
"It's indescribable. All those cliches that every parent tells you, they're all true," he expressed, while also playfully jesting about adjusting to his son's sleepless nights. "That's one of the advantages of being accustomed to working unconventional hours as an actor, being awake all night. People may complain about lack of sleep, but there's no better reason on earth to sacrifice it, you know? And if you're fortunate enough to have family nearby and trust in the help they provide. It's challenging being apart, yet it's also incredibly enjoyable witnessing the spark of life gradually illuminate, day by day."

Dunst and Plemons experienced a tranquil lockdown with Ennis during the global coronavirus pandemic. In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Dunst shared, "To escape the hustle and bustle of Auckland, we decided to rent a house where our son could freely frolic on some greenery." She went on to mention, "There's a charming equestrian presence in the area, and we also share our living space with two elderly feline companions. One of them, Sid, never fails to bring us a nightly gift in the form of a mouse."

In November of the following year, Plemons expressed similar feelings as Dunst did during an interview with British GQ, describing James as "sweet". He marveled at the joy and amazement of seeing their oldest son with James, finding it difficult to put into words, other than using clichéd expressions. Plemons passionately shared that it was a beautiful experience and James was understanding, considering the divided attention. Although there were a few minor mistakes from James, it was only natural and their son, being quite big, was also involved in the special bond.

"Kirsten once appeared on the popular talk show, Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, some time ago. It was before our eldest child was born and you kindly sent us a few books," Plemons reminisced during his conversation with host Jimmy Fallon. "Those books provided us with many enjoyable moments. However, our child, who is now nearly 5 years old, only wants to read Mama and Dada books. I must admit, I am growing concerned about his developmental progress."
Ennis and James were captivated by Fallon's tales, but Plemons confessed to being "weary of the book."
"The book is like Baby Shark," he quipped, while also commending Fallon for unraveling "the secrets of a young mind."
