Unveiling the Astonishing Connection Between Assassin's Creed Jade Protagonist and the Iconic Assassin Statue from AC2

Assassin's Creed Jade's protagonist has a subtle connection to a legendary assassin statue from Assassin's Creed 2 This small detail adds depth and continuity to the franchise's lore, making the new game's hero even more intriguing

In Assassin's Creed Codename Jade, the new game's protagonist is tied back to Assassin's Creed 2 through a small but significant detail. This is a common occurrence in long-running series, and Ezio Auditore's famous exploits are well-known in the franchise's history. Xia's journey across Ancient China remains unknown, but one of their mentors is so influential that the order commemorates them in the halls of Villa Auditore. Alongside three other Assassin's Creed titles in development, Jade will take players to Ancient China during the Qin Dynasty, where Xia will face challenges while uncovering their own history and becoming part of the Assassins.

Xia's personal history may be shrouded in mystery, but it is a known fact that they were adopted and raised by Master Assassin Wei Yu to join the order. Wei Yu is a legendary figure among the order for his role in the assassination of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China with ties to the Order of the Ancients. His actions left such a significant impact that he was immortalized with a statue inside the Sanctuary under Villa Auditore, which can be visited by players in Assassin's Creed 2. The Sanctuary holds seven statues, including those of Amunet and Darius, who appeared in later Assassin's Creed games. In Assassin's Creed 2, players must locate corresponding seals for six of the statues to unlock Altair's statue and the game's strongest armor set, the Armor of Altair.

Ubisoft's attention to detail is evident in the small yet significant ways they connect the Assassin's Creed games. Throughout the franchise, players can discover nods to characters and events from previous titles, such as a statue of a familiar face or an assassination that bridges two games. The inclusion of Wei Yu in Codename Jade may just be the beginning of what Ubisoft has in store for linking their games together. Currently in production for Android and iOS, Codename Jade is sure to offer fans more of the immersive and interconnected world they love.
