When To Play And Where To Find The Maji Market In Palia

Palia's Maji Market will be accessible during the game's open beta from August 29 to September 26, 2023. Players are welcome to explore the market between 6 pm and 3 am in Palia time. Although players can still visit the market outside of these hours, the stalls and festivities will remain unavailable until the market officially opens according to the game's time mechanism. In Palia, one day corresponds to one hour in real life.

Players can easily locate Palia's Maji market on the Kilima Village map, specifically on the southeast side. Situated just south of the Whispering Banks and east of Fisherman's Lagoon, the market stands out with its surrounding decorations and posters, making it impossible to overlook. However, new visitors are advised to first check their mail at their farm plot before heading to the market. By doing so, they can collect the 'The Maji Market' quest from Major Kenli, who urges players to explore the market. This approach allows players to simultaneously accomplish this quest.

Palia's Maji Market Quests And What To Do

Upon arrival at Palia's Maji Market, players can engage in various NPC quests by interacting with Kenyatta, Delaila, Reth, and Eshe. One such quest, known as "Kenyatta's Cravings," requires players to purchase food from Reth's stall for Kenyatta, inquire about the experimental fireworks from Auni before igniting them, and subsequently capture five Chapaas and relocate them to the designated Chapaa pen.

Palia's Market Chapaa Chase Event

Chapaa Chase is a mini-game that takes place at the market every night. Players have to chase down the Chapaas and bring them back to the pen. It can be challenging to catch all the Chapaas before the market closes, especially when other players are also trying to catch them. The overall counter at the top of the screen keeps track of the number of Chapaas caught.

To increase your chances of catching them all, it is recommended to stay near the entrance areas. However, a few Chapaas also appear near the trees close to the pier. Each Chapaa caught earns players 10 Chapaa Chase tickets, which can be exchanged for prizes like plushies at the Chapaa Chase Prize Store located near Kenyatta's stall.
