Selim emphasized that the use of AI aligns perfectly with the show's overarching theme of distortion, stating, "When we approached AI vendors, we wanted to capture the essence of the shapeshifting Skrull world, the sense of mystery and uncertainty. Who is behind this? Who are they?". Following the gripping opening of the first episode, the title sequence showcases a series of enigmatic images, all enveloped in the Skrulls' signature fluorescent green hue. Through the utilization of AI, abstract illustrations of Secret Invasion's characters and landscapes are brought to life. Notably, figures like Nick Fury and the Skrulls are depicted in a distorted manner, while the eerie green glow illuminating the scenery of Moscow and London adds to the sinister ambiance.

Marvel enlisted the expertise of Method Studios, a renowned company known for their work on Marvel series such as Loki and Moon Knight, to create the title sequence for Secret Invasion. Selim, a representative from Method Studios, explained their process of utilizing AI, stating that they would discuss ideas, themes, and words with the computer, which would then generate something based on that input. Although the specifics of how AI was used to create the images have not been disclosed by Method Studios, Polygon likened the AI prompt to "Skrull cubism," adding to the confusion surrounding its implementation. Interestingly, Selim himself admitted to Polygon that he doesn't fully comprehend how AI functions. The use of AI in an attempt to capture the show's unsettling atmosphere has sparked a debate among fans about the ethical implications of Marvel's decision to employ this controversial software.
