A Pokemon fan has creatively redesigned the Water/Dark-Type creatures Carvanha and Sharpedo, giving one of them a significant transformation. Ever since the franchise's inception more than two decades ago, gamers have been inventing alternate forms for pocket monsters. As a result, we have seen numerous intriguing interpretations of beloved Pokemon throughout the generations.

Introduced in the third Generation, Sharpedo and Carvanha are dual-type Water/Dark Pokemon with the Rough Skin ability. Additionally, Sharpedo has the unique ability to undergo a Mega Evolution. Notably, Sharpedo played a prominent role as one of the main creatures utilized by Team Aqua leader, Archie, in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.

A Reddit user named ShugaWentWrong shared their redesigns of the prehistoric versions of Carvanha and Sharpedo. Carvanha maintains its Typing but has an elongated body shape and a smaller jaw. Sharpedo, on the other hand, has a much longer body and is now a Water/Dragon-Type. These new designs offer a fresh perspective on what these Pokemon would look like if their bodies were not as short as before.

Redditors are showing appreciation for the designs created by ShugaWentWrong for these two Water-Type Pokemon. One commenter expressed their preference for Sharpedo having a long tail from the start, agreeing with ShugaWentWrong's view that the original design appeared to be cut in half. Another Reddit user mentioned that ShugaWentWrong's concept reminded them of Garchomp, a pocket monster introduced in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl that also takes inspiration from sharks. A few other gamers provided stats for the alternate Sharpedo and shared Pokedex entries to give a bit of background on them. These alternate forms for the two Pokemon offer an intriguing perspective on familiar pocket monsters, capturing the interest of fans.

ShugaWentWrong is not the sole fan producing alternative versions of Sharpedo. Reddit user HertzBurst has also crafted a Paradox variation of this Pokemon, transforming it into a Water/Steel-Type called Iron Swirl. HertzBurst has also come up with Paradox forms for other Pokemon, such as Mudkip, Hoppip, and Ariados, giving them all a mechanical appearance. These designs by HertzBurst offer a glimpse into the potential futuristic interpretations of these creatures and highlight the imaginative abilities of loyal fans.
