Following an incident in Los Angeles, the Buck Commander owner publicly acknowledged his mistake. He candidly admitted that excessive drinking had led him to lose control of the situation and behave inappropriately at a bar. Taking responsibility for his actions, he clarified that he left the venue alone, proceeded to board the bus for the next show, and proceeded to repent his behavior. The incident undoubtedly caused embarrassment to both his family and himself. Imperfection acknowledged, he sincerely apologized for letting down his supporters, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to address the matter privately with his loved ones and appreciating the ongoing backing he receives.

Less than one year after his highly publicized cheating scandal, Jason has officially filed for divorce from Ussery in Tennessee. "She will forever hold importance in my life as the mother of my children, and I am fully aware that both of us will always prioritize our daughters above everything else," he stated in a press release.

Brittany received criticism from fans and fellow country artists when she posted on Instagram, thanking her parents for not changing her gender during her tomboy phase. Cassadee Pope tweeted that celebrities with beauty brands should embrace inclusivity, rather than comparing a tomboy phase to someone's desire to transition. Maren Morris responded to the Voice alum, suggesting that she should refrain from being disrespectful and promote her products rather than making controversial comments.
Jason came to his spouse's defense during the commotion, declaring his support on one of her Instagram posts, captioning it with the words, "MY Barbie." Ryan Hurd, in the meantime, stood up for his wife too. He tweeted, "It takes no courage to earn points by targeting transgender children. Maren's bravery in defending them makes me proud. Following the backlash Jason received for his controversial song "Try That in a Small Town" released in May 2023, which contained lyrics deemed racist by many, Brittany stepped forward to support him and shift attention away from the incident.
"It seems like the media is playing their usual game. They manipulate everything to suit their despicable agenda," she expressed in response to the song gaining widespread attention in June. "Instead of fabricating stories, why don't we direct our attention to issues that truly matter, like child trafficking? Just some food for thought."
