Highlights
Haki is essential for surviving in the New World and every pirate needs to master it to fight against stronger enemies.
Not all members of the Straw Hat Pirates possess Haki and those who do require enhancements to battle formidable opponents.
Every member of the crew has a unique Haki upgrade that would enhance their combat prowess and abilities.
Haki is a vital power in the One Piece universe that every pirate must master if they wish to survive the treacherous New World. This ability becomes especially necessary when facing formidable adversaries like the Emperor crews and Navy Admirals. While some members of the Straw Hat Pirates possess impressive Haki skills, there are still a few who have yet to develop this ability. Even those who have already attained Haki need to refine and enhance it in order to confidently face the strongest adversaries in the One Piece world.
10 Jinbe - Ryuo
Jinbe possesses proficiency in both Armament and Observation Haki, although his mastery of these abilities seems to be at a rudimentary level. Considering his role as a tank, it is crucial for Jinbe to enhance his Armament Haki skills. Mastering Ryuo would be an ideal choice for Jinbe as it would enable him to combine Haki with his Fishman Karate, resulting in increased internal damage.
By further refining his abilities, Jinbe will eventually be capable of penetrating even the most resilient armor. Given his formidable striking power, this power boost would be exceptionally advantageous for him.
9 Brook - Observation Haki
Brook lacks the ability to use Haki. However, considering his frequent involvement in espionage missions for the Straw Hat Crew, acquiring Observation Haki would be an ideal enhancement for him. This Haki would greatly assist him in combat, boosting his awareness and complementing his speed-based fighting style effectively.
8 Franky - Armament Haki
Franky is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with within the Straw Hat Crew, making Armament Haki an ideal choice for him. Although Franky currently lacks any form of Haki, if he were to awaken this ability, Armament Haki would undoubtedly enhance his resilience and amplify the impact of his attacks.
7 Robin - Armament and Observation Haki
Despite being an experienced pirate, Nico Robin surprisingly remains a non-user of Haki, which is unexpected at this stage of the story where she should have acquired such skills. This fact is evident, considering her recent accomplishment of defeating an adversary with a bounty exceeding 470 million berries.
Nico Robin is worth 930 million berries herself. For a pirate touching a billion berries, having both Armament and Observation Haki is the bare minimum.
6 Chopper - Observation Haki
Chopper is not only a skilled combatant, but also an invaluable doctor for the crew. His expertise in performing complex surgeries makes the upgrade to Observation Haki a perfect choice for him.
He could also use this in his combat, and it would be especially useful when he combines it with Kung Fu Point and even Brain Point.
5 Sanji - Conqueror's Haki And Future Sight
Sanji wields remarkable mastery over Haki, exhibiting exceptional proficiency in Observation Haki and possessing extraordinary Armament Haki that effortlessly inflicts damage upon dinosaur hide. In order to further enhance his Haki abilities, Sanji may find great potential in acquiring Conqueror's Haki.
4 Usopp - Armament Haki
Sanji, a member of the Germa Kingdom's royal lineage, descends from an esteemed family that once held dominion over the entire North Blue four centuries ago. With royal blood coursing through his veins, Sanji possesses the potential to awaken Conqueror's Haki, further enhancing his already formidable abilities. Additionally, it is highly probable that Sanji will refine his Observational Haki in the future, potentially granting him the extraordinary power to perceive future events.
Usopp already has the power to use Observation Haki and it is time for him to level up his game. For Usopp, the perfect upgrade in terms of Haki would be Armament Haki.
This enhancement would provide
3 Nami - Observation Haki
with amplified force, enabling him to effortlessly overcome formidable adversaries. Furthermore, it would assist Usopp in countering Logia-type Devil Fruit wielders, who have previously posed considerable challenges for him.Nami, the skilled navigator of the crew, may not be one of the strongest combatants, but her bounty of 366 million beri showcases her considerable abilities. Even though she does not currently possess any Haki, the addition of Observation Haki will soon bring about a significant upgrade for her.
2 Zoro - Better Conqueror's Haki
This particular type of Haki enhances her ability to observe even the slightest fluctuations in weather, surpassing her already impressive level of expertise. Moreover, in battle, it empowers her to skillfully maneuver Zeus and deliver devastating, decisive strikes to her foes.
Zoro has already acquired mastery of all forms of Haki, including advanced Armament and Conqueror's Haki, with the aid of Enma, a sword capable of extracting this power from his body. However, Zoro's proficiency in utilizing Conqueror's Haki leaves much to be desired.
1 Luffy - Increased Mastery Of All Haki
:Zoro's ability to maintain his Haki exudes only lasts for a short duration, leaving him vulnerable after just a few minutes. His encounter with King could have turned fatal had the battle extended even slightly longer. To safeguard himself in future clashes, Zoro recognizes the urgent need to enhance his Conqueror's Haki and attain a higher level of stability.
Luffy possesses exceptional mastery of all three Haki types, enabling him to wield them proficiently. However, this does not signify that Luffy has reached his maximum potential and cannot further enhance his abilities. When it comes to Haki, there is still much room for growth and learning for Luffy.
There are other characters who surpass him in terms of Haki usage. For example, Shanks possesses the ability to foresee more than 10 seconds into the future and has an incredibly powerful Conqueror's Haki that can instantly defeat a pirate worth 3 billion berries. Currently, Luffy is not as formidable as Shanks and must strengthen all his types of Haki in order to surpass the Red-haired Emperor and establish himself as the strongest pirate on the seas.
