Blaidd the Half-Wolf is an NPC in Elden Ring known as Ranni's blade. The Witch assigns him the task of locating Nokron's hidden treasure. Regrettably, Blaidd is unaware of the entrance's whereabouts, and since Nokron is an underground region, he suggests meeting the Tarnished in the Siofra River.
The Siofra River, a sprawling underground area within Elden Ring, poses numerous challenges for players seeking to locate Blaidd. Deep within its depths, he can be found. Even after the Tarnished completes the assigned objective and consults with Seluvis, Blaidd remains stationary in his original position. Only when the quest to vanquish Starscourge Radahn commences does he relocate to Redmane Castle.
Updated August 1st, 2023: Discovering Blaidd for the first time will most likely happen while exploring the deeper sections of Limgrave on the journey to the Weeping Peninsula. To progress through his questline, players must then locate Blaidd within the Siofra River Well, an easily overlooked area for those not diligently exploring every corner. Upon entering the Siofra River Well, players can spot Blaidd perched on a specific cliffside, although caution is advised during the approach. To provide clearer directions to Blaidd's location in the Siofra River Well, the following guide has been enhanced with a video.
Siofra River Well Is Near Blaidd's First Spawn Location
Upon agreeing to serve Ranni the Witch, Tarnished is tasked with speaking to three individuals on the first floor, one of whom is Blaidd. The Half-Wolf stands beside a wall in a ghostly state. He informs players of his intention to journey to Siofra River in search of Nokron, the Eternal City. Tarnished must then make their way to the Mistwood Outskirts Site of Lost Grace, located in the easternmost region of Limgrave.
Upon arrival, summon Torrent and proceed east towards the minor Erdtree. Alternatively, players can choose to go north from the Fort Haight West Site of Grace, although this route requires a longer journey through the Mistwood.
Blaidd's initial spawn location can also be found in the Mistwood, specifically within the centralized Mistwood Ruins. However, if you have already initiated Ranni's questline, Blaidd will not appear in this area. Adjacent to the minor Erdtree, there is a circular building that serves as the entrance to the Siofra River Well. Exercise caution when navigating past the Runebears and Erdtree Avatar, and utilize the lift inside the building to descend down to the Siofra River.

Illuminate the Elden Ring Site of Lost Grace and proceed further into the vicinity. Not far off, you will come across a grand archway encircled by crumbling pillars. Pass through the entrance and ascend the stairs on the left. Continue climbing until a colossal waterfall comes into view. Adjacent to the waterfall, there should be a small passage – enter it and utilize the elevator within.
After the elevator comes to a halt, leave the room and summon Torrent. Journey northward through the watery swamp until you stumble upon another Site of Lost Grace nestled within the expansive Siofra River region. Make your way towards the Hallowhorn Grounds staircases, located to the east of the Site of Grace, and retrieve the item from the lifeless body near the steps: it happens to be the map fragment for Siofra River.
Walk westward from the staircase and ascend the small slope. Upon doing so, players will spot Blaidd the Half-Wolf standing near a distant cliff. Proceed forward to meet him, making sure to engage in conversation until all dialogue options are exhausted. Failure to do so before reloading the area will prevent him from moving to his next location.
The path leading to Blaidd is fraught with hostile enemies, including sniper-like Ancestral Worshippers, who may pursue Elden Ring players. Consequently, the Tarnished might sustain damage while conversing with the Half-Wolf. It is therefore advisable to eliminate all adversaries or employ the Torrent ability to swiftly traverse the area.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
