The inaugural season of Modern Warfare 3 is set to launch on December 6th. In a recent Call of Duty blog post, details about what players can anticipate in Season 1 for multiplayer and Zombies have been unveiled. The major update will feature a fresh set of multiplayer maps and a new story act for Zombies, along with a new Warlord stronghold to conquer.

In line with expectations for a new season of Call of Duty, the first season of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will introduce a battle pass for players to progress through and access additional weapons and cosmetic items. The season will also introduce two new operators, Nolan and Dokkaebi. Season 1 will offer five new weapons and nine aftermarket parts for players to unlock at no cost.

The $30 premium BlackCell pass is back, offering the new Abolisher operator, extra tier skips, exclusive BlackCell skins, and more.

Multiplayer Season 1 features three new 6v6 maps and a 2v2 map, as well as holiday reskins of existing maps. The Gunfight mode makes a return with the fast-paced 2v2 faceoff on small maps. Additionally, the new Training Facility map will be joined by four classic Gunfight maps.

The Season 1 roadmap features the introduction of new game modes. One of these is All or Nothing, a free-for-all mode with a highly restricted loadout, which originated in the original Modern Warfare 3. Additionally, a new Vortex mode inspired by the Ray Gun from Zombies will make its debut later in the season.

Furthermore, two new killstreaks have been revealed. The Swarm, which can be earned at either 15 kills or 1,875 points, deploys a multitude of mosquito drones to a designated area. On the other hand, the EMP, earned at 13 kills or 1,625 points, releases an electromagnetic pulse that disrupts enemy killstreaks and equipment.

The Zombies side introduces a new story act that extends the narrative of the first three acts. Players will encounter a massive gateway on the map, providing the opportunity to explore and participate in fresh end-game content. Additionally, Season 1 brings the inclusion of Dark Aether rifts, offering labyrinth-like challenges for squads to conquer within a set time frame. Successful completion of these rifts will yield exciting rewards. Furthermore, the update brings the V-R11 Wonder Weapon, new schematics to unlock, and a new Warlord fortress to infiltrate.

New shop bundles have been revealed for The Boys, Dune, and Santa. Additionally, players can look forward to fresh daily, prestige, and seasonal challenges.

The Season 1 update for Warzone is set to launch on December 6th, and will feature Modern Warfare 3 integration with the new Urzikstan map. The holiday event for Warzone will introduce an LTM with a Zombie Santa and deer-hunting.

The new Gunfight mode looks especially promising, as it offers a fast-paced and intense 2v2 experience that is sure to be a lot of fun. The addition of classic Gunfight maps is also a great touch, as it will give players a chance to experience some of the best maps from the original Modern Warfare 3.

Overall, I am very impressed with what has been revealed about Modern Warfare 3 Season 1, and I can't wait to see what else is in store for the game in the future.
