Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Mirage aims to bring the series back to its origins by focusing heavily on stealth and parkour mechanics. It introduces a new Notoriety Level system that increases based on illegal actions like pickpocketing and assassinations in the presence of city guards. A high Notoriety Level will alert guards and civilians to Basim's presence.
Fortunately, players have various ways to mitigate this. The most effective method is obtaining the Zanj Uprising Outfit, which reduces Notoriety Levels and grants Basim greater freedom of movement. Unlike other outfits that prioritize combat and healing abilities, the Zanj Uprising Outfit is unique in its emphasis on reducing Notoriety. For Assassin's Creed Mirage players who dislike the appearance of this specific outfit but still desire its benefits, there are also several Costumes available. These Costumes alter the outfit's look without impacting its stats or abilities.
Unlocking The Outfit
The Zanj Uprising Outfit offers a blend of style and tradition inspired by the fierce Zanj rebels, a noteworthy and historically accurate rebellion during the Abbasid Caliphate. With this outfit, Basim can minimize the Notoriety Gain by 20% when engaging in illicit activities. The effectiveness of this reduction can be further enhanced to 30% and 40% by utilizing Upgrade Schematics. Although it doesn't grant absolute immunity to criminal actions, it significantly decreases the need for stealth and evasion during Basim's travels.
The outfit can be obtained from various Gear Chests scattered around Haribiya, a district to the north of Baghdad. This is the first district players will likely explore during the main story of the game. The Outfit and its Upgrade Schematics will appear randomly depending on the Gear Chest that players open first. The initial chest will always contain the outfit itself, while the remaining chests will hold the Upgrade Schematics. The most easily accessible chest, which players will come across early on, is situated in the Central Haribiya Upper Harbor. This chest is located inside a small building that overlooks the port. Upon entering the building, players will need to navigate a puzzle involving a small shelf in order to reach the Gear Chest.
Where To Find Upgrade Schematics
You can locate the remaining gear chests in Harabiya by exploring two specific locations: the Prince's Palace and the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse. Caution must be exercised in these areas as they are deemed hostile, and if Basim is sighted trespassing, the guards may initiate an attack.
The Prince's Palace chest is situated in the Northeastern corner of the main palace structure. It is positioned along the Harabiya coast, just South of the Upper Harbor area. Although there is no puzzle to be solved in order to reach the chest, the area is heavily guarded, presenting a slightly different challenge.
To locate the final Gear Chest, you will need to ascend to the top of the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse. Accessing this Gear Chest is primarily dependent on utilizing the appropriate Parkour techniques to reach the pinnacle. Once you have reached the top, you will be able to move a shelf and access a small cordoned area where the chest is situated.
