An Elden Ring fan showcased their exceptional artistic talent by crafting a stunning diorama featuring Iron Fist Alexander. Following its release in February 2022, Elden Ring captured the hearts of fans and critics alike, swiftly transforming the highly-anticipated FromSoftware game into a timeless masterpiece within the open-world and Soulslike genres.
With the arrival of Elden Ring, Iron Fist Alexander quickly emerged as a beloved character among players. Alexander, a member of the sentient living pot race known as Living Jars, captivates with his towering presence, complete with arms and legs. Determined to seek adventure and evolve into a formidable warrior, Alexander embarks on a journey from his hometown, Jarburg. Throughout the game, players have the opportunity to encounter Alexander early on and encounter him several more times as they explore the vast world of Elden Ring.
Elden Ring players often utilize their real-world artistic abilities to recreate Alexander, the iconic character. One such enthusiast is Blake, the creator behind the YouTube channel, Love, Death, & Dice. With his remarkable talent, Blake has taken it upon himself to craft a captivating diorama that perfectly captures the essence of Alexander, combining both sadness and whimsy. Love, Death, & Dice is known for sharing videos showcasing Blake's impressive tabletop gaming miniature paint jobs as well as his stunning diorama creations.
Although the lore surrounding the Living Jars in Elden Ring can be somewhat ambiguous, as is typical in FromSoft games, there is one undeniable fact: these Living Jars draw their power from the corpses that are enclosed within them. After assisting the player character in defeating the formidable Starscourge Radahn, Alexander can be seen gathering the lifeless bodies, hoping that by filling himself with fallen warriors, he will ascend to become a formidable warrior himself. Love, Death, & Dice brilliantly depicts this scene in their imagined scenario, portraying Alexander making his way through a graveyard, eager to consume its contents.
Blake utilized a 3D printed replica of Iron Fist Alexander as the central element in the diorama, accompanied by 3D prints of various components such as a stone wall, a headstone statue depicting an undead skeletal warrior, and, naturally, the casket itself. Blake's exceptional craftsmanship and painting skills resulted in a final piece that bears an uncanny resemblance to its in-game counterpart. Among the numerous non-playable characters encountered in the Elden Ring universe, Alexander's unwavering determination to pursue a warrior's path despite his physical frailty has endeared him to countless players who seek to pay homage to Iron Fist Alexander in whatever possible way they can.
Elden Ring is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
