- Enhancing your Google Docs experience for the digital eraBy default, Google Docs adopts a page structure that emulates the appearance of your document when printed. However, considering the prevalence of digital usage, the likelihood of requiring a hard copy is rather slim. If your primary focus is digital work, you have the flexibility to transition to a pageless format. This allows you to eliminate page breaks, incorporate expansive images seamlessly, and condense your headings efficiently.
To enable the pageless format in your doc, click the “File” menu and select “Page setup.”
In the page setup dialog box, navigate to the "Pageless" tab and click on the "OK" button. By taking this action, you will activate the pageless format for the current document exclusively. If your intention is to have all of your documents automatically start in the pageless format, opt to choose the "Set as Default" option instead.
Once you’ve enabled pageless format, the “v” symbol will appear to the left of your headings when you hover over them. Clicking it will collapse/ expand your headings.
