Shi-oh faces his past and heartache in Strong Girl Nam-soon
In the midst of the finale, Shi-oh returns to his hideout and is visited by an old friend. Given his first mission by Pavel, Shi-oh is tasked with his own death. Choosing to die on his own terms, Shi-oh takes his own life while staring at Nam-soon.
Weakened by the drug, Nam-soon’s mother and grandmother pool their remaining strength to help her. Despite her significantly reduced powers, Nam-soon manages to escape the warehouse and confront Shi-oh, who has also taken the drug to battle her. Using her last reserves of energy, Nam-soon propels a pipe into Shi-oh’s abdomen. He flees when Woo-sik arrives and takes Nam-soon to the hospital. He collapses after saving Nam-soon, but the cure takes effect and everyone returns to normal. Meanwhile, the police track down Shi-oh's location at a boxing gym after tapping one of his calls and intimidating the scientist behind the drug. Dressed in a black suit, Shi-oh receives an unexpected visit from Binbin.
Flashbacks reveal their childhood, with Pavel promising to escape to Hungary. It's revealed that Binbin indeed went to Hungary and was trained by Pavel. He has returned for his first mission - to kill Shi-oh. Shi-oh reflects on his feelings of betrayal from everyone he's cared for, including the person he loves, Nam-soon. The gym is stormed by Police, Hee-sik, and Nam-soon to find Shi-oh standing in the center of the ring. He utters the words “Die with dignity,” and gazes at Nam-soon while holding the gun to his head. He then pulls the trigger, leading to Shi-oh's suicide as he looks at the woman he loved in Strong Girl Nam-soon.
Nam-soon and the others shift their focus to finding the antidotes and successfully obtain the formula from the scientists by promising a Nobel Prize. After apprehending the people involved, with Mr. Chen having fled, life goes on. Strong Girl Nam-soon has the detectives awarded for their work, and Nam-soon joins the police force. Geum-ju and Bong-go tease the possibility of getting back together as Nam-soon meets her grandfather. While eating ramen, Hee-sik and the detectives learn that the Dogang stationary store owner matches Shi-oh’s DNA as his biological father. It is revealed that Shi-oh found him as an adult and bought him the store but never told him who he was.
