The Tomb of the Villager is a hidden and easily overlooked area in Hogwarts Legacy, only accessible at night. Despite its secrecy, it is definitely worth exploring as it presents a puzzle to solve and promises a mysterious reward. Additionally, players have the opportunity to encounter other ghosts outside of Hogwarts Castle.

Hogwarts Legacy features a diverse range of puzzles that span its expansive maps, with some being more difficult than others, such as the challenging Merlin Trials. However, players can also stumble upon different types of puzzles through exploration and must utilize the spells they have learned to successfully solve them. While the puzzle in the Tomb of the Villager is not overly challenging, players will need to possess fire attack spells like Incendio and Accio as prerequisites.

Fortunately, the puzzle itself is not overly challenging as long as players possess the appropriate spells and know where to search within the vicinity of the Tomb of the Villager. To aid players in successfully completing Hogwarts Legacy's Tomb of the Villager Puzzle, we have updated the following guide to include a video demonstration.

The Tomb of the Villager can be discovered by players in the graveyard located on the western side of Hogsmeade village. It is important to note that the entrance to the tomb is exclusively accessible during nighttime, coinciding with the appearances of certain ghosts from Hogwarts Legacy within the graveyard.

Ascend the staircase located within the cemetery, passing by the two apparitions engaged in a spectral game of tossing a phantasmal cranium. In close proximity lies the entrance to an adjacent sepulcher known as the Tomb of the Villager, exclusively accessible during the nocturnal hours. Once traversing its threshold, intrepid players shall discover a chest along with a diminutive satchel positioned towards the left, situated near a discrete aperture concealed by a covert passageway, unlocked solely through proximity.

Solving The Tomb of Villager Puzzle

Sneak through the secret wall entrance and eavesdrop on a conversation among a group of Ashwinder Scouts. Utilize stealth tactics, such as casting the Disillusionment spell, to quietly approach them. Alternatively, employ powerful Ancient Magic maneuvers to defeat the scouts and obtain any valuable items they possess. Beware of a series of pillars obstructing your path and a peculiar circular symbol on the floor, which indicates the need to unravel a challenging puzzle.

To solve the Tomb of the Villager puzzle, players need to follow these steps:

Use The Rotating Platform

Use Accio To Complete The Puzzle

Adjacent to the wall stands a small bowl, placed on a rotating platform, towards the left side of the room. To ensure the bowl is lit, employ the fire spell Incendio if it has not already been set ablaze during the battle. This action causes the platform to rotate. Take a leap onto the platform and position oneself on the circular pressure switch. Consequently, the wall initiates a rotation, instantly teleporting the player to the area situated behind the wall of pillars.

Locate a cube situated on a small platform within the wall, concealed behind the pillars. Employ the Accio spell to seize the cube and transport it to the floor for convenient access. Proceed to the previous area with the circular symbol by utilizing the rotating wall mechanism. Subsequently, employ Accio once more to levitate the cube in midair. Position it atop the circular floor symbol adjacent to the pillars and employ Incendio to illuminate the cube with a vibrant glow.

By casting the spell Incedio, a hidden passage will be revealed behind the pillars, leading to a connected room that houses a chest. Within the chest, players have the opportunity to discover an unidentified item, such as a head or face accessory. To identify the item, players can utilize the Identifying Table located in the Room of Requirement. Since the pillars still obstruct the player's path, the solution is to utilize the rotating wall in order to access the newly revealed room and unlock the chest.
