A potential partnership between Mattel and anime studio Bones may soon bring fans of My Hero Academia a new way to enjoy the card game UNO. My Hero Academia, a popular manga and anime series, follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a teenager who aspires to become a superhero in a world where most people possess unique superpowers called quirks. The series has garnered praise for its captivating action, intriguing characters, and themes of justice, friendship, and bravery.
UNO, the shedding-style card game, was first created by Merle Robbins in Ohio, USA in 1971. The objective of the game is to discard all of your cards before the other players. The game consists of four color-coded sets of 108 playing cards: red, yellow, green, and blue.
Three action cards—skip, reverse, draw two, and wild cards—are provided in each color. Additionally, there are cards numbered 0 to 9. The game also includes four wild cards, which can either change the color or oblige the next player to draw four cards. The objective of the game is for the first player to successfully discard all of their cards.
