Hitman: World of Assassination is receiving a significant amount of fresh content in October to honor IO Interactive's 25th anniversary. In addition, the developer has unveiled a remastered edition of Hitman: Blood Money as part of the celebration. This Danish studio wrapped up its three Hitman reboots in early 2021 and, two years later, consolidated the trilogy into one package, rebranding the third installment as Hitman: World of Assassination.

The Hitman franchise is currently on hold, but World of Assassination is still being updated regularly. IO Interactive has just released details about the upcoming additions in October. The roadmap consists of two parts: IOI anniversary content and monthly updates. On October 5, the Faster than Rocco challenge will be introduced, where players must complete The Last Yardbird sniper mission in under a minute and 47 seconds to unlock the Sniper Challenge Suit. On October 13, a new Elusive Target called Bad Boy will appear in the Sapienza level. A week later, players will have the opportunity to eliminate The Food Critic in Bangkok. The end of the month will be dedicated to IOI anniversary content, starting with multi-level challenges on October 26. These challenges will unlock the Retro Codename 47 Suit, which has a distinct low-poly look inspired by the original 2000 game.

Scheduled for the same day is a challenge called "A Nightmare in Hawkes Bay." Fans will have the opportunity to showcase their skills with the Bat Shuriken, and those who succeed will be rewarded with the Jack-O-Lantern Suit, just in time for Halloween. Additionally, on October 27th, players can expect the debut of Alexios "The Drop" Laskardis, an Elusive Target portrayed by renowned Belgian DJ Dimitri Vegas. This event will also mark the release of the Purple Streak Suit, which will be IOI's first-ever Twitch Drop, available during the developer's upcoming livestream.

Meanwhile, around this period, Hitman: World of Assassination is set to receive its next patch, upgrading the game's version to 3.170. This update will introduce various quality-of-life improvements and address bug fixes. IOI has not yet provided a specific release date for the update in late October.

Hitman: World of Assassination is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
