Convinced that E.N.D. was imprisoned within the tome, Mard Geer formed a sinister guild and brought together Zeref's demonic creations. He declared E.N.D. as the guild's leader and promoted the idea of following E.N.D.'s will and bringing him back to life.

Mard Geer's plan involved using the Magic Council's weapon, 'Face,' which had the ability to eliminate all magic on the Ishgar continent. By eradicating magic completely, Tartaros could harness Curse Power, a type of magic used by demons, and utilize it to revive their sealed master. Once E.N.D. was resurrected, Tartaros would ultimately return to Zeref, even though this aspect of their scheme was a deception created by Mard Geer. In reality, he intended to kill Zeref.

The Guild’s Fortress: Cube

Tartaros' exact coordinates or the location of its headquarters have long eluded the Magic Council. The guild's unique base, a massive floating cube in constant motion, plays a role in this elusiveness. The war between Fairy Tail and Tartaros served as a mere setup, overshadowing the initial confrontation against Mard Geer and the Nine Demon Gates. However, the true battle awaited as Acnologia clashed with the Dragons, steering the narrative in a different direction. As a result, Tartaros became an inconsequential name in the grand scheme of things.

The Fairy Tail guild emerged victorious over Mard Geer and the other demons, effectively dismantling the Balam Alliance by vanquishing its final member. Once the battle had calmed, Mirajane paid a visit to the dark guild's base and consumed the souls of each demon, assimilating them into her Takeover Magic repertoire.
