In Pizzeria Simulator, players take on the role of a franchisee for Fazbear Entertainment Inc., overseeing the operations of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place. As Michael Afton, the player must prepare the restaurant for an upcoming "big party on Saturday." This involves investing in decorations and animatronics, as well as completing managerial tasks during nighttime shifts. Each day, Michael is faced with the decision of salvaging or disposing of various mysterious animatronics left outside the restaurant, as outlined in "Paragraph 4" of his contract. These animatronics include Scrap Baby, the discarded form of Circus Baby after being expelled from Ennard; Molten Freddy, the reassembled Ennard animatronics; Lefty, a black bear animatronic housing the Puppet; and Scraptrap, a charred and decaying Springtrap who escaped Fazbear’s Frights. While performing nighttime maintenance, Michael must also fend off attacks from the salvaged animatronics.

Ultimate Custom Night

In Pizzeria Simulator's "Completion" ending, all the souls of the victims from previous games are successfully gathered by Michael. Following a short monologue, Scrap Baby declares her intention to make Afton proud by utilizing the souls. However, before she can continue, Henry Emily, the true mastermind behind the events, intervenes. In a final act, Henry sets fire to the restaurant, trapping Scrap Baby, Lefty, William Afton, Ennard, and Michael inside, thus bringing an end to Afton's legacy. Speaking directly to Elizabeth, Charlotte, and William, Henry confirms that their souls are now liberated. He then turns his attention to Michael, believing that he would choose to join them in death. The game concludes by informing the player that Fazbear Entertainment no longer exists as a corporate entity.

Unlocking the Secrets: The Epic Journey of Five Nights at Freddy's Lore - Part 2

Ultimate Custom Night lacks a cohesive storyline and instead presents an ongoing series of horrifying nightmares experienced by William Afton. According to the widely accepted interpretation derived from the Fazbear Frights book series, a short story called "The Man In Room 1280" offers insight into the game's lore. In this story, which is believed to mirror the game's events, a severely burned Afton, barely clinging to life after the events of Pizzeria Simulator, is held captive by a malevolent entity. Despite his grave injuries, the entity keeps him alive in a hospital and punishes him for his misdeeds by subjecting him to a perpetual cycle of being killed by his own animatronic creations. It is speculated that Cassidy, one of Afton's earliest victims whose spirit possesses the rare Golden Freddy animatronic in FNAF 1 and FNAF 2, is the one responsible for tormenting Afton.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted

Unlocking the Secrets: The Epic Journey of Five Nights at Freddy's Lore - Part 2

Seeking Assistance, alternatively known as the Virtual Experience of Freddy Fazbear, is a virtual reality game set within its own fictional world. Its purpose is to rectify the consequences caused by a renegade independent developer, Scott Cawthon, who is the creator of the series. Fazbear Entertainment LLC, established around 2030, initially hired Silver Parasol Games as the team responsible for developing The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience. This game aimed to transform the fabricated tales revolving around Fazbear Entertainment's restaurants into video games. To accelerate the development process, Fazbear Entertainment provided the developers with antiquated circuit boards and other technological components from vintage animatronics. Unfortunately, this led to the accidental release of the Glitchtrap Virus, which is now suspected by many to be the mimic1 virus. Tragically, this resulted in the demise of a playtester named Jeremy.

A character known as Tape Girl was assigned the task of completing Jeremy's unfinished work. In her pursuit, she stumbled upon emails exchanged between Fazbear LLC and the independent developer, which exposed their collaboration. Tape Girl opted to isolate fragments of the virus within various digital recording tapes. Within these recordings, she included messages for the player character, Vanessa, instructing her that gathering all the digital tapes would pave the way for Glitchtrap's escape.

Tales of the Pizzaplex: The Mimic Epilogues and The Storyteller

Construction on the Mega Pizzaplex, a colossal entertainment complex featuring arcades and dining options, commences simultaneously as Vanessa's ill-fated quest in the Curse of Dreadbear DLC leads her to stumble upon a haunting bunny mask. Unbeknownst to her, this innocent discovery triggers her possession by the Glitchtrap virus, thus setting the stage for the unfolding narratives of both FNAF: Special Delivery and Security Breach. Intriguingly, during the initial stages of planning for this grand venture, an unidentified individual mandates that it be erected atop the existing Pizzeria Simulator's legendary Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place.

Unlocking the Secrets: The Epic Journey of Five Nights at Freddy's Lore - Part 2

The story of the Mimic unfolds in The Tales of the Pizzaplex Epilogues. A group of construction workers is assigned the daunting task of clearing out the wreckage of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place that was left behind after Henry set the establishment ablaze in Pizzeria Simulator. Their objective is to transform the former pizza joint into a museum as part of the larger Mega Pizzaplex construction project. Among the team members, there is an extraordinary animatronic infused with the mimic1 virus, programmed to dismantle the damaged endoskeletons by removing their heads and arms. However, unexpectedly, the mimic begins replicating its actions on the unsuspecting crew. In order to contain the Mimic, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place is diligently sealed off with concrete, serving as a prison for the crafty animatronic.

At a later time, a group of teenagers covertly enters Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place through a ventilation shaft and comes face-to-face with the Mimic. This deceptive entity possesses the ability to mimic human voices, masquerading as an individual trapped backstage. When the teens venture further to explore, the Mimic launches a surprise attack, resulting in the demise of all but one of them, leaving only a single survivor to tell the tale.

In The Storyteller, it is unveiled that the Mega Pizzaplex is controlled by a malicious virus known as the Mimic1. This destructive program has been embedded within a significant apparatus called The Storyteller, which feeds information, melodies, and narratives to the establishment's animatronics. Numerous short stories in Tales of the Pizzaplex allude to the influence of The Storyteller. Notably, in the recent installment titled Tiger Rock, a virtual animatronic emerges from the Pizzaplex's VR attraction and viciously dismembers a child in accordance with the commands issued by the still-enclosed Mimic within the Pizza Place.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Special Delivery AR

Unlocking the Secrets: The Epic Journey of Five Nights at Freddy's Lore - Part 2

According to the Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Ultimate Guidebook, a compilation of in-universe files and documents from the FNAF series, the triumph of Help Wanted prompted Fazbear executives to explore ways to bring the FNAF series into reality. Building on the success of the VR concept, they aimed to "merge FNAF with the real world." This led to the creation of the Fazbear Funtime Delivery Service, which facilitated the delivery of animatronics to people's actual homes for companionship. However, the task of implementing this service was outsourced to another company, which unintentionally introduced a virus into its programming. Consequently, the animatronics turned hostile and attempted to harm the inhabitants of each home. Correspondence between the developers of the service and Fazbear Entertainment LLC unveiled Vanessa as a central figure in the corruption, exploiting the situation to gather Remnant—an energy source used to bind souls to lifeless objects—for unknown purposes.

Tales of the Pizzaplex: GGY

Unlocking the Secrets: The Epic Journey of Five Nights at Freddy's Lore - Part 2

In Tales of the Pizzaplex, a captivating narrative unfolds as Tony, a journalism student, embarks on a quest to unveil the true identity of an enigmatic individual dominating the leaderboard of every Mega Pizzaplex arcade cabinet. This mysterious player, known solely as "GGY," becomes the central focus of a class project, compelling Tony and his fellow classmates, affectionately nicknamed Boots and Dr. Rabbit, to delve deep into GGY's origins. As Tony delves into the investigation, astonishing revelations come to light - GGY is an adept hacker, having ingeniously tampered with their Play Pass to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas within the Pizzaplex premises. Moreover, Tony uncovers GGY's sinister ploy of ensnaring unsuspecting individuals into the Pizzaplex after closing time. As if that weren't unsettling enough, Tony soon realizes that GGY appears to wield control over Freddy, one of the animatronic characters at the venue, who ominously starts trailing Tony's every move.

Upon receiving these findings and completing the assignment, Tony informs his colleagues and is surprised to discover that Dr. Rabbit has made significant alterations to the document. These revisions transform the character of GGY into a magical apprentice who battles against the forces of evil in a fairytale-like setting. Feeling disappointed in his teammates, Tony decides to disclose Dr. Rabbit's true identity as Gregory, while also expressing his disapproval of their lack of deserving pseudonyms. Greg, who is revealed to be Dr. Rabbit, apologizes sincerely and proposes a plan to lift Tony's spirits by inviting him to the Pizzaplex after work hours. This gesture serves as confirmation that Greg is indeed the real person behind the alter ego GGY.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach

Unlocking the Secrets: The Epic Journey of Five Nights at Freddy's Lore - Part 2

In advance of Security Breach, Vanessa from Help Wanted manages to entice all the employees of Pizzaplex to attend a staff meeting by falsely promising them a delicious cake. Afterwards, she cunningly ensures that she is the sole remaining employee on the night shift, creating the perfect setting for Glitchtrap's diabolical plan to unfold. However, a resourceful young boy named Gregory also finds himself within the confines of Pizzaplex and forms an alliance with Glamrock Freddy to survive until daybreak. Together, they embark on a mission to acquire a series of security badges, granting them access to specific exits within the Pizzaplex.

Gregory soon encounters the Sun and Moon animatronic, with the latter appearing every hour throughout the night in an attempt to capture Gregory. Additionally, Gregory spots Vanny, a mysterious dancing rabbit also known as Vanessa, exploring the Pizzaplex. While Vanny chases Gregory in certain areas, alongside other animatronics like Chica, Roxy Wolf, and Monty Gator, her motives remain uncertain. Despite being able to see his fellow animatronics, Freddy cannot see Vanny in her current state, prompting Gregory to search for alternative ways to survive the night.

Soon, Gregory begins upgrading Freddy by utilizing parts from the other Glamrock animatronics. He acquires Chica's voicebox, Monty's Claws, and Roxy's Eyes, which grant him the ability to see hidden items, locations, and ultimately, Vanny. By 6 am, Gregory is faced with the choice of leaving the Pizzaplex, confronting Vanny, saving her, or exploring Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place beneath the Pizzaplex. In the game's seemingly official ending, Gregory manages to free Vanessa from the Glitchtrap virus by interacting with three Princess Quest arcade cabinets. Eventually, Gregory, Vanessa, and Glamrock Freddy's head successfully escape the Pizzaplex.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach RUIN

Unlocking the Secrets: The Epic Journey of Five Nights at Freddy's Lore - Part 2

In Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach RUIN, a young girl named Cassie embarks on a mission to explore the Pizzaplex upon receiving a distress call from Gregory, who is trapped below Roxy Raceway. Guided by Vanessa's discarded V.A.N.N.I. mask, Cassie must deactivate the security nodes in the Pizzaplex using various methods, including saving, destroying, or rebooting the destroyed Glamrock Animatronics. However, her progress is jeopardized by a glitchy Blue Bunny, a mysterious digital entity that hunts her.

As Cassie delves deeper into the Pizzaplex, she eventually reaches the basement of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, where she finds Gregory's whereabouts. To free him, Cassie must utilize a forklift to break through a cement block that has sealed him inside a secretive room. However, this act reveals the true nature of the distress calls, as they were actually being made by The Mimic, an animatronic that tricked Cassie into freeing it by impersonating Gregory.

FNAF RUIN's final moments reveal that the Mimic had been locked away long before the Mega Pizzaplex was built. The events of Security Breach and RUIN are a result of its attempts to escape using Vanessa, Gregory, and Cassie. In the bad ending, Gregory explains the Mimic to Cassie and causes the elevator she is in to crash, preventing the Mimic from finding Vanessa, Freddy, and himself. While some fans speculate that the voice could be the Mimic, the game's files confirm that it is actually Gregory who causes the elevator to plummet. In the secret ending, the Mimic is "scooped" like Michael in Sister Location, and Cassie survives. The official ending will likely be revealed soon, as Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 has been announced with a targeted release date of late 2023.
