Stardew Valley enables players to achieve self-sufficiency by taking care of crops, raising animals, and preparing their own meals. One of the delicious culinary choices early in the game is Sashimi. This dish not only satisfies the farmer's hunger but also provides a modest boost to their Energy and Health levels.
With its focus on resourcefulness and the rustic appeal of living on a homestead, Sashimi shines as a versatile dish in Stardew Valley. It allows players to turn their daily catches from the diverse rivers and lakes into a culinary masterpiece. This guide provides easy steps for players to make their own Sashimi.

Sashimi in Stardew Valley can only be made in the Kitchen of an upgraded Farmhouse or with the help of a Cookout Kit. The recipe for Sashimi is obtained from Linus, an elderly man who lives in a Tent on The Mountain.
Once players have established a three-heart Friendship with Linus, he will send them the Sashimi recipe through the mail. Players can improve their Friendship with Linus by giving him gifts that he enjoys. Making Sashimi simply requires 1 Fish of any variety.
After acquiring fish, players can easily prepare Sashimi by right-clicking on the cooker and choosing the Sashimi icon. Another option is to occasionally find Sashimi in the rotating stock at the Stardrop Saloon or Krobus' Shop on Saturdays. Linus may also surprise the player with a Sashimi gift in the mail.
Best Fish to Turn into Sashimi
Sashimi, a delectable dish comprising thinly sliced raw fish, can be made more lucrative by utilizing fish that have a value of less than 75 gold. Players who do not possess the Fisher or Angler professions can maximize their profits when converting the following fish into Sashimi:
Anchovy
Carp
Herring
Mussel
Periwinkle
Shrimp
Snail
Sunfish
The player’s profession and the quality of the fish directly influence the profits gained.
Uses of Sashimi
In addition to providing a convenient source of energy with 75 points and boosting health by 33 points, Sashimi is a delightful gift option for Sebastian.
Furthermore, Sashimi plays a role in the "Pierre's Notice" quest. On Spring 21, Year 2, players receive a Mail from Pierre requesting Sashimi. Completing this quest not only grants players 1,000 gold but also rewards them with 1 Friendship Heart.
