While growing most plants is a breeze, the Dragon Fruit Plant poses a unique challenge for players. Unlike other plants that can be found in the game's world, players must manually grow the Dragon Fruit Plant, making it a highly sought-after addition to any garden. Though the process of growing this plant can be tricky, there are helpful tips and tricks to streamline the process.
How To Graft A Strawberry Bush With a Snapdragon Flower In The Sims 4
By cross-breeding a Strawberry Bush with a Snapdragon Flower, Dragon Fruit can be cultivated. The seeds required for this process can be obtained from behind the bungalow in the bottom right corner of Willow Creek. Once the Sim has acquired the seeds, they can be planted and tended to, resulting in the growth of new Strawberry Bushes and Snapdragon Flowers that can be harvested.
In order to cultivate a Dragon Fruit, players must ensure that their Sim has reached at least Level 5 in the Gardening skill. This level grants the Sim the ability to cut and graft plants together. To perform a successful graft, the Sim must first cut a piece from one plant and then interact with another plant to access the Graft option.
By combining a Strawberry Bush with a Snapdragon Flower through grafting, players can grow a unique plant that produces Dragon Fruit. However, obtaining this fruit can require patience, as it is less common than Snapdragon Seeds and Strawberries. While it may take multiple attempts, players who have successfully grafted the two plants together can eventually harvest their own Dragon Fruit.
How To Grow A Dragon Fruit In The Sims 4
Once a Dragon Fruit has been harvested from the spliced plant, it can be planted in the ground by interacting with it in the Sim's inventory. With proper care, such as regular watering, the Dragon Fruit Plant will eventually mature into a fully grown shrub. Once this happens, players can select the Harvest option to acquire Dragon Fruit. Additionally, players can graft the Dragon Fruit Plant with a Snapdragon Flower to acquire Cowplant Berries, which, when planted and watered, will grow into the rare and unusual Cowplant.
