After more than a decade since the last primary installment in the Diablo franchise, fans have eagerly awaited the release of Diablo 4. While the Diablo 3 expansion was updated several times since its release in 2014, players have been patiently anticipating the latest addition to the series. The wait is finally over as Diablo 4 is set to be released on June 6th, putting an end to years of anticipation. However, for those who simply cannot wait any longer, there is a way to play the game a few days earlier.
How to Play Diablo 4 Early
Players can secure early access to Diablo 4 without relying on luck. By pre-ordering the Standard Edition for $69.99, players can start playing on June 6th at 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. On the other hand, those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition for $89.99 and $99.99 respectively, will gain access to the Early Access period starting from June 1st at 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. For players in other time zones, Early Access will begin on June 2nd at 12 AM GMT. Moreover, pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition will not only provide players with exclusive cosmetic rewards in Diablo 4, but also in other Blizzard games, including Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft. The Ultimate Edition offers the added benefit of accelerated progress in the first Seasonal Battle Pass for Diablo 4.
It's important for players to take advantage of the pre-load option for Diablo 4, which begins on May 30th at 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST, regardless of which edition they pre-ordered. This will ensure that the game is ready to play on release day, without any time wasted on installation. Given the game's large file size (85 to 90 GB depending on platform), pre-loading is especially useful. Additionally, players don't need to worry about losing their progress or characters from Early Access on launch day, as these will carry over. While open beta and server slam participants could earn cosmetics, there are no exclusive cosmetics for Early Access.
Diablo 4 releases June 6th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Early Access begins on June 1st.
