Players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have the opportunity to obtain a special Gastrodon, a Water/Ground-type Pokemon that was originally introduced in the Generation 4 Pokemon games. While exploring the Paldea region, trainers can encounter numerous new Pokemon, as well as familiar ones in their Pokedex.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, trainers can catch Pokemon from all previous generations, although the games do not include the complete Pokedex. Despite this, capturing every Pokemon remains a formidable challenge for players. Similar to other Pokemon games, trainers can employ various methods to catch Pokemon, including the traditional approach of using a Poke Ball or engaging in Pokemon trades with friends.
Some Pokemon can also be obtained through special mystery gift codes during distribution events. Fortunately, players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet currently have the opportunity to participate in one such event. From now until June 19, players can redeem the code PTCCHAMP10N2122 to receive a unique Gastrodon, inspired by the one used by the 2022 Pokemon Trainers Cup Champion, Wonseok Jung. It is advisable for anyone interested to claim their Gastrodon promptly, as the redemption period ends on June 19.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gastrodon Code
This Gastrodon is a level 50 East Sea variant, showcasing vibrant blue and green colors. Unfortunately, players will not have the opportunity to obtain a shiny version of this Pokémon. Equipped with the Leftovers item, its moveset consists of the Ground-type attack Earth Power, Ice-type attack Ice Beam, Normal-type attack Yawn, and Normal-type attack Protect. In skilled hands, this Gastrodon has the potential to greatly enhance any Pokémon Scarlet and Violet team.
With the release of the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, hardcore Pokemon fans who have already completed the game may find a new use for this special Gastrodon. Game Freak and Nintendo have announced plans to release two substantial expansion packs for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, with one arriving this fall and the other in winter. While details about the expansion packs are scarce, it has been confirmed that they will introduce at least two new Pokemon to the existing lineup. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
