The Overwatch 2 Zenyatta Story Mission Could Improve Boss Battles

The boss battles in Overwatch 2's Invasion story missions currently involve defeating a large bullet sponge that charges predictably towards its enemies. Cooperation with teammates, including AI, can easily bring down the enemy. Additionally, players must halt a large Omnic mech using Torbjorn's Mega-Cannon, providing an interesting conclusion to the arc. However, future missions could introduce more diverse characters for boss fights, potentially overshadowing the current battles.

In Zenyatta's story mission, his captors Sombra and Widowmaker could serve as the main enemies and final bosses. This adds intrigue as the heroes possess unique abilities that could make fights more challenging. For instance, Widowmaker's grappling hook could allow her to reach difficult areas quickly and move from cover to cover.
