A Pokemon fan has created a new Paradox form for Raikou inspired by Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, showcasing the creativity of the community.

The Iron Sabre, a form designed by fans, has a futuristic appearance with metallic elements and a captivating pink hue, replacing Raikou's initial purple hair. Fan response to the design was overwhelmingly positive, lauding its distinctiveness and playfully expressing faux disappointment that it lacked the giraffe-like appearance of Raikou's official Paradox form.

A dedicated Pokemon enthusiast has recently conceptualized a fresh Paradox form for Raikou, drawing inspiration from the franchise's latest games. Since the launch of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, numerous fans have been crafting unique Paradox forms, and this particular creation exemplifies their remarkable aesthetic appeal.

The Teal Mask, an upcoming DLC for Scarlet and Violet, has introduced several new Pokemon, including an official Paradox form for the beloved Legendary creature, Raikou, hailing from the second generation. The unveiling of Raikou's new form caused quite a stir, as fans were taken aback by its resemblance to a plesiosaurus with an enormous, giraffe-like neck. Interestingly, this official rendition bore striking similarity to a version conceived by a fan in March, which seemed to have ignited the community's desire to explore more alternative forms for Raikou.

Now, one fan of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, named El-psy-congroo-01, has decided to share their own version of Raikou. This new iteration is called Iron Sabre and is an Electric/Psychic-type Pokemon with a special ability called Quark Drive. This ability enhances its power in specific types of terrain. Iron Sabre's design is a pleasing blend of familiarity and futuristic elements, incorporating metallic components. The original purple hair of Raikou has been replaced with a stunning pink hue, giving the Pokemon a radiant glow. Additionally, there is a shiny version of Iron Sabre, transforming its yellow colors into gray, further emphasizing its metallic appearance.

The reception to this project has been largely positive, with many fans expressing their admiration for the design. Some even jokingly expressed disappointment that it did not feature the giraffe-like characteristics of Raikou's official redesign. El-psy-congroo-01 is no stranger to sharing alternative Pokemon designs with the community, as they have created numerous unique renditions of Pokemon in the past. Most recently, the artist created a Paradox form for Lugia inspired by a plesiosaurus.

El-psy-congroo-01's Raikou wasn't the initial instance of a fan choosing to reimagine Raikou in a Paradox form. Some months ago, another enthusiast bestowed upon the tiger-like Pokemon a historical variant, transforming it into a form influenced by an ankylosaurus. This was achieved by altering its appearance to appear shorter and more robust, with its hair resembling protective armor. With the release of upcoming DLCs for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it is hoped that fans will be further inspired to continue creating impressive fan art.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
