A talented Pokemon fan has created custom Tera forms for the Unova Starter trio, introducing new transformation mechanics.
Rumor has it that these Tera forms grant Pokemon enhanced bodies and abilities, much like Mega Evolutions. A talented Pokemon fan, known for their artistic abilities, is expanding their collection of custom Tera forms by designing unique versions for the Unova Starter trio: Serperior, Emboar, and Samurott. While the existing Pokemon, Scarlet and Violet, already introduced a transformation mechanism through their crystal-like Terastallization forms, there are whispers that the upcoming Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC will introduce a new evolution type similar to Mega Evolutions. These Tera forms are said to provide select Pokemon with powerful new bodies and abilities to aid them in battles.
Fans have begun speculating about the potential appearance of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera forms. Reddit user Colmlukas has taken inspiration from these rumors and created prototype versions of third-stage evolutions for all Starter Pokemon. These designs have been released in batches, starting with the original line-up and progressing to Generation 4. Colmlukas has recently unveiled their Tera forms for the Generation 5 Starters on r/pokemon. Serperior now boasts larger leaves, Emboar has a slimmer physique and a more muted color palette, and Samurott stands upright and wields a sword-like feature on its right arm.
Mainline Pokemon games always offer players the choice of selecting a Grass, Fire, or Water Starter Pokemon as their first creature, and this includes Pokemon Black and White from 2010. Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott eventually evolve into Serperior, Emboar, and Samurott respectively. These final evolution forms have consistently appeared in subsequent Pokemon generations, with Samurott even receiving a Water/Dark variant in last year's Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Samurott was also featured in a Tera Raid event in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in March.
While the rumored alternate Tera evolutions mentioned in recent Pokemon DLC have not been officially confirmed yet, they have captured the imagination of fans, including Comlukas. Comlukas has designed their own lineup of custom Starter Tera forms, which have received high praise for their ability to pay homage to the original designs of the featured Starter evolutions while adding a fresh twist. If Comlukas continues at this pace, it is likely that fans will soon see their interpretations of the Starters from the Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea Pokemon regions.
