Highlights
When it comes to weapons in Halo Infinite, there's a diverse range to choose from. However, certain ones stand out from the rest due to their superior damage and fire rate, making them crucial for achieving victory.Among these top-tier weapons are the M41 Spnkr, S7 Sniper, Energy Sword, and BR75 Battle Rifle, which excel in both destructive power and precision.
In contrast, the Disruptor, Plasma Carbine, Ravager, and Plasma Pistol are categorized in the lower tiers due to their limited effectiveness, slow projectiles, and low damage.
The Halo franchise has stood the test of time since its launch in 2001. However, the latest installment, Halo Infinite, seems to be losing its appeal as time goes on. Engaging in multiplayer shooting competitions never gets old, and the weapons players choose to use against their opponents greatly impact their performance. While skill is still a crucial factor, certain weapons greatly enhance the gaming experience in Halo Infinite, with some being far superior in terms of damage and fire rate. Consequently, many players dedicate themselves to obtaining the best weapons in the game in order to climb the ranks of the multiplayer leaderboards.
Mastering the art of weapon control is crucial for success in Halo Infinite, as not all weapons are created equal in the game. While the fast-paced arena-style gameplay may not have lived up to Xbox's expectations of being a killer app, some still consider it to be one of the best Halo games out there. As players strive to climb the seasonal ranks and win prizes, they quickly learn which weapons are essential and which can be dismissed without a second thought. With a selection of over 20 weapons, including iconic classics from the franchise, Halo Infinite offers gamers plenty of choices to suit their playstyle and dominate the battlefield.
S Tier
M41 Spnkr
S7 Sniper
Energy Sword
BR75 Battle Rifle
While Halo Infinite offers a wide array of weapons, these stand out as the top choices for players to wield in the game. The M41 Spnkr has achieved legendary status since its introduction to the franchise in 2001. Despite being limited to just two shots before requiring a reload, its devastating power cannot be disregarded. It has the capability to eliminate almost anyone with a single shot and accumulate numerous multi-kills in a single match. The S7 Sniper, a lethal long-range weapon, can dispatch Spartan enemies with a single headshot or two body shots, thanks to its impressive 1000 damage. The Energy Sword made its grand entrance in Halo 2 and has since established itself as one of the franchise's finest weapons.
The Sword expands the range of users' lunges and obliterates enemies with a single touch, becoming even more formidable when paired with the Grappleshot. However, players must remain vigilant of the energy percentage during a match. Moving on to the BR75, an extremely efficient weapon in mid-range battles that also excels at long-range engagements. Armed with a true scope to enhance accuracy, the BR75 inflicts substantial damage and is renowned as one of the most iconic FPS weapons.
A Tier
Gravity Hammer
Cindershot
Mangler
CQS48 Bulldog
Skewer
While not as effective or versatile as Halo's top-tier weapons, these weapons can still give opponents a tough challenge. The Gravity Hammer excels in close-quarter combat, making it ideal for clearing out tightly packed teams. However, its slow swing speed leaves players vulnerable to counterattacks if their aim is off. The Cindershot grenade launcher is a destructive force in FPS games, allowing players to personally direct its explosive projectiles mid-air for maximum damage.
The Mangler pistol received a nerf in Halo Infinite Season 2 but remains a powerful weapon when combined with melee attacks and is a fan-favorite for close-quarters combat. The Bulldog shotgun also received a nerf, now requiring an extra bullet or two to eliminate opponents, but it remains one of the game's top-tier weapons. On the other hand, the Skewer has replaced the Spartan Laser and is a formidable long-range weapon with its spiked projectiles. Unfortunately, it only holds one round in its chamber, and its slow reload times can leave players vulnerable.
B Tier
Heatwave
MA40 Assault Rifle
Shock Rifle
MLRS-2 Hydra
Sentinel Beam
MK50 Sidekick
Content must be written in English:
The Heatwave, a shotgun inspired by the Halo Forerunner saga, offers both vertical and horizontal firing modes. However, its limited ammo capacity and steep learning curve prevent it from reaching its full potential. In Halo Infinite, the MA40 Assault Rifle proves to be surprisingly powerful, especially the Longshot variant which deals significantly more damage than expected. Despite this, many players still prefer the precision of the BR75. The Shock Rifle can be deceptively effective with headshots and has the added bonus of causing delayed damage to teams. However, its lack of zooming options and rapid ammo consumption make it a less favorable choice compared to the S7.
The Hydra, making a return from Halo 5, is capable of taking down enemies with just three hits in its normal mode. However, its splash damage is notably weaker compared to others in its class. The Sentinel Beam has been buffed by 343 Industries, now boasting a beam with nearly limitless range. However, users must contend with its strong recoil and high ammo consumption, making it a challenging weapon to master. The MK50 Sidekick brings a sharpshooting element to Halo Infinite, delivering significant damage with headshots. Nonetheless, it is best utilized as a sidearm and lacks the versatility for extended firefights.
C Tier
VK-78 Commando
Needler
Stalker Rifle
Bandit Rifle
D Tier
The Halo classic SMG has been replaced by the VK78 Commando, offering players improved accuracy and range. However, this comes at the cost of a reduced fire rate and general control. Similarly, the Stalker and Bandit Rifles also suffer from a slower rate of fire, with the Stalker requiring careful shooting to prevent overheating. Despite this, 343 Industries has decided to keep some fan favorites like the Needler in Halo Infinite. Although commonly regarded as one of the weakest weapons in the game, the Covenant mainstay has seen slight improvements in its performance.
Disruptor
Plasma Carbine
Ravager
The Plasma Pistol, similar to the Shock Rifle in pistol form, offers a faster fire rate. However, it sacrifices damage potential due to its forearm upgrade. Its limited ammo supply discourages players from choosing this weapon during battles. Similarly, the Plasma Carbine and Pistol suffer from poor aim, power, and slow-moving projectiles, making them less favored among players. The Ravager, another plasma launcher, has become less useful in Halo Infinite due to a nerf that has made its fire rate obsolete.
Halo Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
