Revised: In Starfield, players will encounter a wide range of randomly dropped weapons with varying stats and mods during their gameplay. However, there are also a number of unique guns that every player can obtain by completing specific side quests, main story missions, or purchasing from various weapon merchants scattered throughout the game.
The top-tier weapons in Starfield offer immense advantages as players explore the universe, allowing them to effortlessly eliminate enemies with style. These exceptional firearms and blades are also highly customizable, often equipped with multiple modifications when initially acquired by players.
This guide is a work in progress and will be updated as and when more unique Starfield weapons are discovered.
Warning: The following guide contains minor story spoilers for Starfield.
Unrestrained Vengeance
Players will receive Unrestrained Vengeance if they manage to defeat the Hunter in the High Price to Pay main story mission. The key is to reduce his health bar once, causing him to vanish temporarily. Although he may resurface later, as long as players can bring him down at least once, he will reward them with the Rare laser rifle and a sum of credits upon their return to the ship and departure.
The Last Priest
In order to obtain The Last Priest, players must successfully finish the Infinity's End side quest. This particular quest can only be initiated if players choose to align themselves with the Hunter during the final stages of the Unearthed main story mission. By complying with the Hunter's requests or effectively persuading him of their compliance, players will be rewarded with the Rare melee weapon.
Eternity's Gate
Unmitigated Violence
The Legendary particle beam rifle, Eternity's Gate, is widely regarded as the ultimate weapon in Starfield and stands out as one of the most coveted firearms within the game. Players can obtain this exceptional weapon by successfully vanquishing the Emissary at the Buried Temple. However, this formidable opponent can only be faced if players align themselves with the Hunter during the Unearthed main story mission or choose to remain neutral.
The Hunter's primary weapon, Unmitigated Violence, is renowned as one of the finest firearms in the vast realm of Starfield. This Legendary laser rifle can be acquired by eliminating the Hunter at the Buried Temple. However, this option becomes unavailable if players align themselves with him during the conclusion of the Unearthed main story mission. Hence, those who seek to obtain this coveted weapon must make the decision to ally with either the Emissary or remain unaffiliated.
Heller's Cutter
Players will have the opportunity to discover Heller's Cutter in a crate located on Vectera, the moon where the Starfield's adventure commences. Although they won't be able to obtain it during their initial visit, they will have the freedom to revisit the Narion system once they have successfully delivered the Artifact to Constellation. Upon returning, players will find Heller's Cutter waiting for them in a crate.
Sir Livingstone's Pistol
Although not the top gun in Starfield, Sir Livingstone's Pistol holds significant sentimental value. Players can acquire this weapon by choosing the Kid's Stuff trait at the beginning of the game. Once they have joined Constellation, visiting their parents in the Residential District of New Atlantis is necessary. Their digital Dad, brimming with pride, will gift them Sir Livingstone's Pistol as a token of their accomplishments.
Keelhauler
The Keelauler, a highly coveted reward, is granted to players upon completion of the Deep Cover side mission. This mission can be initiated by either trespassing into United Colonies airspace with illegal goods aboard one's vessel or having a significant bounty on one's head. In order to fulfill the mission's objectives, players are required to infiltrate the Crimson Fleet covertly. Successfully accomplishing this task will result in the acquisition of the Legendary weapon as a well-deserved prize. Undoubtedly, the Keelauler stands as one of the finest pistols within the vast expanse of Starfield, making it a valuable treasure worth pursuing.
Peacekeeper
Spending ample time around the Altair system will ultimately lead players to receive a distress signal from a person known as Private Mahoney. This distress signal acts as a trigger for the Groundpounder side quest. In order to successfully complete this quest, players must make their way to the Freestar Collective Research Outpost on Altair II and confront a group of individuals known as Spacers. As a reward for their efforts, players will be granted the Peacekeeper.

Starfield players can also purchase unique weapons from weapon merchants located in major settlements. Typically, these merchants have two or three rare weapons available for sale. The price of these weapons can exceed 20,000 Credits, depending on their stats and whether players have unlocked the Commerce skill. It is open to debate whether these weapons truly compare to the very best guns in Starfield. However, for those seeking to enhance their arsenal with a little extra firepower, they are certainly worth considering.
