Diablo 4 Keeping the Old Traditions Quest Walkthrough
can be found in the overworld, far from any towns or waypoints, as a side quest in Diablo 4. In order to complete the mission, players must demonstrate their knowledge of old traditions by presenting an old statue. This guide will provide information on where to locate the side quest and how to successfully finish it.
To embark on the Keeping the Old Traditions side quest, head to the Untamed Scarps region located in the Dry Steppes zone. The quest is easily recognizable on the map as it is marked with a black circle. To reach the location, travel southwest from Kyovashad or south from the City of Guulrahn.
Starting from the Nevesk waypoint, players can make their way west towards the circular Untamed Scarps area. Although it may be a bit of a journey from nearby locations, having the Nevesk waypoint unlocked will make this journey more manageable, especially if players have a mount equipped.
Upon entering the area, players will notice a quest marker with a distinctive blue exclamation point on the map. Once the area has been fully revealed, players have the option to pin the location on the map screen and follow a clear path to their destination. However, before completing the quest, players must interact with a book that can be found lying against some rubble which was once housing. This book, known as the Lonely Offering, requires players to present an ancient statue to ensure that traditions are upheld.
Completing the quest may not take much time, but it requires players to pay attention to the statue's desires. Once players interact with the book, a blue circle will appear on the map indicating the location of the statue. The statue is built into the mountainside, and players can easily reach it by heading north and west. However, players need to be careful not to miss any clues or hints from the statue, as they may prove crucial to the successful completion of the quest.
To complete the quest, players must emote Yes in front of the statue. This can be done by bringing up the emote wheel using the Up button on the D-pad or the E key on the keyboard, and selecting Yes from the options. It's important to appease the statue with the correct emote.
The Yes emote may not be initially equipped, but players can do so manually by selecting Customize. The emote can then be slotted into one of the three emote wheels.
Upon uttering the word "Yes" to the statue, a concealed chest will materialize in close proximity, containing a varied selection of loot for the player. The side quest will be successfully accomplished, and players will be rewarded with XP for their efforts. Diablo 4 can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
