The buildcrafting potential in Lords of the Fallen can be overwhelming. The desire to experiment with everything in the game is powerful, especially when players acquire exciting new weapons and magic spells.
Similar to other games, players must meet specific stat requirements for gear in Lords of the Fallen before they can use it. Fortunately, the option to reallocate spent points becomes accessible early on in the game. However, there is a drawback to this, and players will still need to make thoughtful decisions when constructing their characters unless they have an abundance of Vigor to spare.
How to Respec in Lords of the Fallen
To gain access to Skyrest Bridge, the main hub area of the game, players must first complete several tasks. After navigating through an infested village, they will encounter Pieta, the first formidable boss in Lords of the Fallen. Successfully defeating her requires skill in dodging or parrying her heavy attacks.
Once the boss has been defeated, players can enter Skyrest Bridge. Pieta, now a friendly character, will assist players on their journey by upgrading their Sanguinatrix and resetting their stat points, provided the necessary materials are given. To respec, players must acquire a Rebirth Chrysalis from Molhu, a vendor located in Skyrest Bridge.
Molhu, an elusive supplier, is only accessible to players within the Umbral Realm. To locate Molhu, traverse from the Skyrest Bridge Vestige, shifting between dimensions, and ascend the staircase nearest to Pieta. There, players will discover Molhu, offering an assortment of Umbral merchandise, including the essential equipment required to unlock the power of Umbral magic.
To initiate the respec process, bring the Rebirth Chrysalis back to Pieta. Each chrysalis can only be used once, so if players wish to respec again, they will need to purchase additional ones from Molhu. However, it's important to note that a single Rebirth Chrysalis carries a hefty price of 8,000 Vigor, which may pose a challenge for players in the early stages of the game. On the bright side, this is particularly advantageous for players who wish to experiment with builds that are not typically accessible to their starting class.
For players looking to accumulate a decent amount of Vigor, there is a prime farming location in Pilgrim's Perch. To find an Ardent Penitent (enemies with large, cylindrical helmets), teleport to the Vestige of Blind Agatha in the Bellroom. At this spot, players can lure the enemies to charge off the ledge outside the cave, resulting in instant kills and a reward of approximately 600 Vigor for just a few seconds of effort.
Lords of the Fallen is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
