Just like its predecessor, Diablo 2: Lords of Destruction, the Druid class in Diablo 4 possesses the ability to shift into various forms. Among these transformations, the Werebear form stands out as one of the most terrifying due to its horrifying animation.
While the Druid was absent from Diablo 3, Diablo 4 has corrected this oversight. The Diablo 4 incarnation of the Druid differs significantly from the original version of the character, but still maintains some shared themes. Unlike in Diablo 2, the Diablo 4 Druid does not need to summon companions as they are generated passively. The video showcases a well-equipped Druid activating the Werebear ability, causing their ax to vanish as they wildly wave their arms. The unsettling animation then proceeds to contort the Druid's body, gruesomely transforming them into the fearsome Werebear.
In this slowed-down animation, the upper body of the Druid transforms swiftly, followed by the legs. The Diablo 4 class animation showcases the gradual dissolution of the Druid's leg armor, replaced by the same brown fur as the rest of its transformed body. As the Werebear, it swipes the air in what appears to be a basic attack, although it remains uncertain whether this swipe can inflict any damage to nearby enemies in the absence of visible foes in JadonArey's clip.
