Unleashing the Power of Clan Systems in Destiny 2: Gamers Demand Bungie's Revamp

Bungie has been urged by Destiny 2 players to revamp its in-game clan system, which has remained unchanged for the past six years. This feature allows players to join clans and team up with fellow gamers to earn rewards.

Since its launch in 2017, the current clan system in Destiny 2 has received positive feedback as an improvement over Destiny 1. However, the lack of significant updates has caught the attention of the community. Although the system itself is generally functional without major issues, many players are surprised that such a crucial feature has not been updated. As a result, a player has put forth suggestions for Bungie to enhance the system and make it more rewarding for players.

User Unownknight7 recently took to the Destiny subreddit to advocate for a major overhaul of the current clan system. Their objective was to shed light on a feature that has been overlooked for years. In order to address this issue, they offered five suggestions for improving the system. One proposal was to reward players with extra masterwork materials, such as Legendary Shards and Enhancement Cores, when they complete Suraya Hawthorne's weekly challenge at Rank 2. Another suggestion was to provide additional rewards in ritual playlists for playing with clanmates at Rank 3. Additionally, they proposed granting players bonus crafted weapon XP at Rank 4. At Rank 5, the idea was to offer players the opportunity to obtain an additional Red Border weapon. Finally, at Rank 6, Unownknight7 recommended giving players extra Adept weapons as a reward for completing Platinum Grandmaster Nightfalls or achieving a flawless run in Trials of Osiris, all while playing with clan members. While they acknowledged that the last suggestion might be seen as far-fetched, they believed that with Bungie's involvement, the other ideas could be implemented to make the gameplay more rewarding. The community largely agreed that an update to the clan system was necessary and supported many of Unownknight7's suggestions.

Bungie has not only neglected to address this particular issue, but they have also remained completely silent regarding Gambit in Destiny 2, despite numerous requests for an update. It is hopeful that the fate of the clan system will differ from that of Gambit and will receive attention once a looking-for-group (LFG) system is implemented later this year.
