AMD recently unveiled the highly anticipated Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT graphics cards, targeting the mid-tier market. Priced at $449 for the RX 7700 XT and $499 for the RX 7800 XT, these cards are specifically designed for 1440p gaming. AMD asserts that they can deliver an average frame rate of over 60 fps at maximum settings in the latest games at 1440p resolution, without any upscaling. These new graphics cards will be made available by various board partners, including Asus, ASRock, Gigabyte, PowerColor, and Sapphire, starting September 6.
Asus has joined other board partners in introducing three new cards in the Radeon 7000 series - the TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT White Edition, and TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT. Currently, the 7700 XT does not have a White Edition. These cards feature a triple fan design, similar to the TUF Gaming 7900 XT and 7900 XTX models already available from Asus.
The TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT boasts 16GB GDDR6 VRAM, 5376 stream processors, a 256-bit memory bus, one HDMI 2.1 port, three DisplayPort 2.1 ports, and a dual 8-pin connector. It is a three-slot card in practical terms, though Asus refers to it as a 2.96-slot card. Its dimensions are 319.8x150.9x59.2 mm. The White version offers the same specifications, but with an all-white design. On the other hand, the TUF Gaming AMD RX 7700 XT comes with 12GB GDDR6 VRAM, 3456 stream processors, a 192-bit memory bus, and requires a recommended PSU wattage of 750W, which is 100W less than the 7800 XT.
Asus has teamed up with board partners such as Gigabyte, Sapphire, PowerColor, and others to offer the mid-tier Radeon 7000 series GPUs. These GPUs will be ready for purchase starting from September 6, which coincides with the release date of Starfield. Bethesda and AMD have collaborated to incorporate AMD's latest technologies into the developer's upcoming space action RPG. To promote this partnership, AMD is providing free copies of the game with the purchase of eligible GPUs and CPUs. Although individual board partners have not mentioned this promotion on their websites, AMD has confirmed that the new GPUs will come bundled with Starfield.
