In the recent episode of Jujutsu Kaisen, Aoi struggles with his innate technique while supporting his friend Yuji in the final showdown against Mahito. Despite their previous battles together, Aoi's ability to use his techniques comes into question. Will he be able to recover in the future?
The expectations for the duo's battle against Mahito were sky-high, and they certainly delivered. Yuji ultimately defeats Mahito with the help of Aoi, but not without Aoi making a significant sacrifice.
In Season 2 Episode 21 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Mahito severs Aoi's hand, leaving the young sorcerer unable to utilize his innate technique, Boogie Woogie. Aoi laments the loss of his Boogie Woogie, sparking questions about whether he will be able to use his technique again in the future.
Can Aoi Todo regain his hand and technique in Jujutsu Kaisen?

In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, it is not uncommon for limbs to be recovered using Reverse Cursed Technique, which can heal human bodies. Skilled individuals like Shoko are even able to heal fatal injuries. However, Mahito's Idle Transfiguration has the ability to alter the very shape of a person's soul.
After transforming Junpei in front of Yuji, Mahito regretted his decision and thought it would have been better to simply injure him rather than using his technique on him. This way, Yuji could have convinced Sukuna to take over his body and heal Junpei with the Reverse Cursed Technique.
This demonstrates that Mahito's cursed technique destroys things that the Reverse Cursed Technique cannot recover. Aoi's technique is activated by clapping, meaning he can only use it once. Aoi is aware of this, evident by the sadness on his face. Mahito likely aimed to transform Aoi into a transfigured human, but Aoi saves himself by amputating his arm.
Shoko is the most skilled healer in Jujutsu Kaisen, with her Reverse Cursed Technique surpassing even Satoru Gojo's. Despite this, she is unable to help Aoi regenerate his hand. Although Aoi still possesses his cursed energy, without his technique, he is unable to combat formidable opponents.

Regarded as one of the most powerful sorcerers in the series, it is lamentable that the Jujutsu world suffered the loss of such a remarkable talent. Aoi has also been absent from Jujutsu Kaisen since he has not made a reappearance following the Shibuya arc.

As an enthusiastic fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I was deeply saddened by Aoi Todo's devastating loss in the recent episode. His inability to use his innate technique, Boogie Woogie, due to his severed hand, leaves me wondering about his future in the series. Will he be able to recover and reclaim his power? The high expectations for the duo's battle against Mahito were met, but at a great cost. Aoi's sacrifice raises questions about the limitations of Reverse Cursed Technique and the potential consequences of Mahito's Idle Transfiguration.
Despite the somber turn of events, I remain hopeful that Aoi will find a way to overcome this setback. His determination and unwavering spirit have made him a fan favorite, and I believe he possesses the strength to rise above this challenge. The Jujutsu world would be diminished without his remarkable talent, and I eagerly await his return to the forefront of the story.
