How to Start the Quest "The Definition of a Hero"How to Complete the Quest "The Definition of a Hero"
In the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley, two beloved characters from Toy Story, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, bring their unique charm and mischief. Buzz Lightyear, renowned for his bravery as a Space Ranger, has dedicated himself to fortifying the security of Dreamlight Valley against the mischievous locals.
However, as Buzz and the player embark on various quests, they begin to realize that their well-meaning efforts might have led them to misunderstand the true intentions of these residents. Now, let's discover how players can successfully complete "The Definition of a Hero," which serves as the final quest in Buzz Lightyear's Friendship quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start the Quest "The Definition of a Hero"
The quest "The Definition of a Hero" is the ultimate quest in Buzz Lightyear's series of Friendship quests, which are accessible as your connection with the Space Ranger strengthens through conversations, gift-giving, and sharing everyday activities. To initiate this mission, you must have achieved Friendship Level 10 with Buzz Lightyear and unlocked both Moana and Remy.
How to Complete the Quest "The Definition of a Hero"
In the final chapter of Buzz Lightyear’s quest series, he once again finds himself in a state of confusion regarding his relationship with the malevolent inhabitants of the valley, which include the cunning sea witch Ursula and the resentful lion Scar. It dawns on him that heroes can assume various roles, transcending the mere pursuit of individuals solely due to their canonical villainy. Recognizing the need to reconcile with those he has harmed, Buzz also embarks on devising a fresh approach to fostering harmony in the valley.
Accompany Buzz to Speak with Ursula
To mend the damage caused by his damning accusations in the mission "A Space Ranger Reputation," Buzz's primary focus is to issue a genuine apology to Ursula. Accompany Buzz to Ursula's whereabouts and witness their heartfelt conversation as he endeavours to rebuild their once amicable relationship.
Gather Materials and Craft Space Ranger Badges
After the conversation, Buzz instructs the players to gather materials in order to create Space Ranger Badges. These badges will be given to potential new recruits. To complete all three quests, the player will need to gather the following materials.
If the player has already completed Kristoff's Level 10 Friendship quest, "A Broken Sled," his shop will be upgraded. This upgrade allows Kristoff's Stall to sell a variety of rare materials. With this upgrade, there is a chance that Kristoff's Stall will have the materials required for this part of the quest, such as Iron Ingot, Empty Vial, Fabric, and Glass. It is recommended to check Kristoff's Stall's current stock before venturing out to gather these materials.
Required | Materials | Where to Get |
---|---|---|
3 Iron Ingot | 15 Iron Ore | Iron Ore can be mined from any mineral vein in Dreamlight Valley. |
3 Coal Ore | Coal Ore can be mined from any mineral vein in Dreamlight Valley. Can be purchased from Kristoff's Stall once upgraded. | |
3 Fabric | 15 Cotton | Cotton is grown using seeds purchased from Goofy's Stall in Sunlit Plateau. |
3 Blue Ink | 6 Blue Hydrangea | Blue Hydrangea can be gathered in Dazzle Beach |
9 Blueberry | Blueberry can be foraged from bushes in Forest of Valor. | |
3 Empty Vial | Empty Vial are crafted using 3 Glass each, which is crafted from 5 Sand and 1 Coal Ore. Sand is obtained by digging in Dazzle Beach. |
After gathering the necessary materials, players should proceed to a crafting station and create the separate components required for the Space Ranger Badges. Once all of these items have been assembled, the recipe for the Space Ranger Badge can be crafted in the Functional Items category. Produce the three badges through crafting and subsequently make your way back to Buzz.
Distribute the Space Ranger Badges
Buzz Lightyear selects the initial batch of fresh recruits for the Space Rangers and enlists the player's assistance in finding these individuals within the village. The player's task is to locate each of these characters and bestow upon them their official Space Ranger Badge. Each character must receive a badge, and the player must successfully deliver one to each of them.
Remy
Moana
Scar
You must wait for any of these characters to wake up before you can receive their badge and proceed with the quest. After you have earned the badges, a much more challenging task awaits you.
Craft Items for the Star Command Academy Grand Opening
This is undeniably the most frustrating aspect of this quest line, as it necessitates a substantial amount of materials that players may not already possess. Should players have fully upgraded Kristoff's Stall, they can potentially acquire the Pebbles, Sand, or Iron Ingot needed for this portion of the quest from him, and he will always have an unlimited quantity of Coal Ore available for purchase. In order to successfully complete this part of "A Definition of a Hero," players are instructed to craft the following items:
Required | Materials | How to Get |
---|---|---|
20 Asphalt | 20 Sand | Sand can be collected by digging in Dazzle Beach. |
20 Pebbles | Pebbles can be collected by digging in most biomes. | |
20 Coal Ore | Coal Ore can be mined from any mineral vein in Dreamlight Valley. Can be purchased from Kristoff's Stall once upgraded. | |
1 Blue and Silver Balloon Arch | 10 Iron Ingot | Crafted from 50 Iron Ore and 10 Coal Ore. |
20 Blue Falling Penstemon | Can be gathered in the Plaza biome. | |
20 Blue Star Lily | Can be gathered in the Forest of Valor biome. | |
20 Blue Marsh Milkweed | Can be gathered in the Glade of Trust biome. |
The process of crafting Asphalt is quite straightforward, as it only requires easily obtainable materials. After it is crafted, you can conveniently check the available quantity of Asphalt in the Landscaping > Paths category of the Furniture menu.
The Blue and Silver Balloon Arch can pose a greater challenge due to the need for a significant quantity of specific flowers. Regrowth of flowers in a particular biome is dependent on the picking of other flowers and the passage of time. Additionally, there is no guarantee regarding which types of flowers will regrow. Consequently, players may find themselves spending a considerable amount of time collecting flowers until they have enough of the required varieties to craft this outdoor decoration. Once the necessary materials have been finally gathered, players can visit any crafting station and locate the Blue and Silver Balloon Arch recipe in the Furniture category.
Head to Buzz’s RV To Prepare
Once the player has finished crafting both items, they should return to Buzz's RV, no matter where it is located in the valley. At this point, it is crucial to lay the Asphalt on the ground nearby and set up the Blue and Silver Balloon Arch in anticipation of the grand opening of the Star Command Academy.
Obtain and Place Space Ranger Buffet
Once completed, proceed to talk to Buzz. He will provide you with a Space Ranger Buffet to be placed outside by the RV. Additionally, he suggests that you wear the Space Ranger Helmet and Space Ranger Wings, which were obtained during the mission "A Space Ranger Recruit." However, wearing them is completely up to you. After setting up the Space Ranger Buffet, players are encouraged to snap a photo to mark the occasion. They can then interact with Buzz to obtain his Friendship Reward at level 10, namely Buzz Lightyear's Space Pack, and successfully complete the quest titled "The Definition of a Hero."
