To provide players with a more rewarding experience, the Season 2 update for Diablo 4 will introduce 12 new Unique items. This means that players can fully benefit from stacking multiple affixes of the same Resistance type up to 70%. This brings the functionality of Resistances in line with how they worked in Diablo 2, and encourages players to utilize multiple affixes of the same Resistance.

Furthermore, several classes in Diablo 4 have received buffs with this update, which will help diversify the number of viable builds in Season 2. Barbarians now have a multiplicative bonus damage while Berserking, allowing for higher damage output when using skills like Wrath of the Berserker. The Sorcerer's Hydra skill has also received a significant damage increase from 12% to 60%, making Fire Sorcerer builds viable once again. However, the biggest class buff in this update is for the Necromancer. They have received a variety of buffs to their minions, making a Summoner Necromancer build potentially one of the best options for this season.

It is encouraging to see that the majority of changes in this update for the Season of Blood have been beneficial for Diablo 4. However, there are a few changes that might generate controversy. The most significant change to be aware of is the revamp of Critical Strike, Vulnerable, and Overpower Damage. These stats are now additive rather than multiplicative, meaning that they only stack with each other under different trigger conditions. This adjustment has been made to decrease the overall strength of Critical Strike and Vulnerable Damage, as they were deemed too powerful in the past.

It is uncertain whether these adjustments to bucket damage will result in more balanced gameplay or simply serve as a wider reduction in power for certain build types. Nevertheless, one class that will experience a nerf is the Druid due to the limitation on the damage output of the Aspect of Rampaging Werebeast, which previously had the potential to inflict tremendous amounts of damage on Uber Lilith.
