The updated golden costume in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom features several novel elements that distinguish it from the original version worn by Momoa in his first solo movie as the hero. One notable difference is seen in the gloves, where the previous suit had several spiked finger protectors, while the revamped rendition of Aquaman's iconic comic book outfit retains only three.

In addition to that, the new suit's chest armor has been updated with squared pecs instead of the original circular shape. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's golden costume also features separate shoulder pieces from the armor's chain mail, as shown in Momoa's costume test shared by @TaurooAldebaran. This is a departure from the suit's previous linear style, resulting in a more eye-catching design.

Furthermore, the updated golden costume includes five armor plates on each thigh, unlike the original suit's four. There is also a noticeable difference in the material used for the suit's thighs and codpiece, as the new Aquaman costume does not have hexagonal scales on the codpiece.

Lastly, the updated Aquaman suit has toned down its boots and forearm armor spikes. Overall, these exciting changes to Momoa's golden costume heighten the anticipation to witness it in action in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
