Where to Find the Musical Map in Hogwarts Legacy
Updated August 28th, 2023: Hogwarts Legacy offers a plethora of exciting Easter Eggs and side quests for players to explore. One intriguing side quest, known as Solved by the Bell, becomes available once players discover the Musical Map. Upon obtaining the Musical Map, players must venture to a specific location and utilize their spells to play a designated tune using a set of bells. To assist players in successfully completing the Solved by the Bell side quest in Hogwarts Legacy, an updated guide has been provided, which includes a helpful video.
To kick off the "Solved by the Bell" side quest, players must first discover the Musical Map. This elusive item is concealed within a place known as Henrietta's Hideaway, tucked away in the southwestern region of the world map in Manor Cape. While embarking on the "Rescuing Rococo" side quest, players will stumble upon this hidden gem, making it an opportune moment to seize the map. Since players will already be venturing towards Manor Cape and passing by Bainburgh, taking a short detour to obtain the map is undoubtedly worthwhile.
After clearing out the dark wizards around Manor Cape, players can access Henrietta's Hideaway through the large wooden doors beneath the Merlin Trial. To progress through the first room, they should employ Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to move the cube onto the circle with the icicle and then use the Glacius spell to make the cube glow. Subsequently, they should stand on the circle with the flame picture and cast Incendio.
After eliminating some adversaries in the adjacent room, players of Hogwarts Legacy should proceed forward and follow the path to the right. An enchanted section of flooring obstructs their progress, but they can overcome this hurdle by simply casting Arresto Momentum. This spell grants them access to a spacious chamber. Once all enemies have been vanquished, players will discover a hidden passageway in the wall on the right (which opens when they stand in front of it). Within this passage lies the Musical Map.
How to Complete the Solved by the Bell Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy
To successfully utilize the Musical Map, players are advised to head towards Clagmar Castle, located east of Manor Cape. Once arrived, the player's objective is to eliminate all adversaries and subsequently locate a tower adorned with nine bells. To fulfill the side quest, the player must skillfully strike these bells, following a specific sequence, using a standard spell. The initiation will commence by activating the bell positioned at the bottom right.

After striking the bells in the proper sequence, players will be rewarded with a melodious tune and witness the emergence of a special treasure chest to their left. Within this chest, they will discover the coveted Treasure-Seeker's Longcoat, a visually-enhancing item that can be utilized to modify the appearance of specific Gear pieces. Additionally, they will acquire 400 Galleons, alongside the customary 180 XP.
Are there Any Other Quests Like Solved by the Bell in Hogwarts Legacy?
Regrettably, the majority of side quests in Hogwarts Legacy lack the distinctiveness of Solved by the Bell and do not incorporate the captivating music note mechanic. Nonetheless, this does not imply that there are no other remarkable side quests in the game. One such quest is Minding Your Own Business, which stands apart in its uniqueness compared to everything else the game offers. Unfortunately, though, Minding Your Own Business is an exclusive side quest available only to PlayStation users, leaving Xbox and PC players unable to experience its charm.
Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. A Switch version is currently in development.
