In addition to the gear and enemies, Diablo 4 also introduces the Paragon Board System as a new progression metric. Paragon Board System Explained

In Diablo 4, the maximum level that players can attain is 50. This level is intended to be reached by the end of the game's storyline or at least be in close proximity to it. However, the game's live service nature ensures that this is not the end of a player's journey. Instead, it marks the beginning of their progress on the Paragon Board.

Players can now earn Paragon Points by accumulating XP, with every 25% of the normal XP bar filled, translating to four Paragon Points per level. Additionally, players can earn four Paragon Points for fulfilling all the Renown requirements in each of the game's five regions.

Players can allocate their earned Paragon Points to unlock nodes on the Paragon Board, which offers numerous benefits to both the player and their selected class. A total of 220 Paragon Points can be distributed among players.

Starting Board and Nodes

Each starting board in the game caters to different play styles and features unique node types. For instance, the Sorcerer's board has nodes that enhance Intelligence, while the Barbarian's board focuses more on Strength, with each node requiring one point. As players progress through the game, they will unlock Normal Nodes that offer stat bonuses, Magic Nodes that provide more specific benefits but are less frequent, and Legendary Nodes that cater to particular builds and offer powerful bonuses.

Upon reaching the end of the board, players will encounter the Board Attachment Gate. This gate not only grants a significant bonus of +5 to all stats, but also presents a crucial decision to make. Players must choose which Paragon Board to open next, effectively committing to a specific class theme for the remainder of their adventure. This decision will determine their play style and the benefits they receive, making it a pivotal moment in their journey.

Paragon Glyphs and Sockets

It is important to recognize that besides the nodes mentioned earlier, there is another crucial element to consider. The Paragon Glyphs are scattered throughout the game world and can be procured more effortlessly on elevated World Tiers once the players have unlocked the Paragon Board system.

Glyphs are a valuable tool for enhancing the effects of unlocked nodes and boosting the overall performance of a build in combat against nefarious enemies. Furthermore, they offer helpful bonuses that can greatly increase the proficiency of a player's build. Once a player has successfully conquered a Nightmare Dungeon, Glyphs can be upgraded to further improve their effectiveness.

The Paragon Glyphs in Diablo 4 possess immense power and can only be utilized at designated Glyph Sockets on the Paragon Board. When a Paragon Glyph is placed, it imparts its bonus, which includes fortifying applicable nodes and providing even greater benefits if specific stat requirements are met.
