In Diablo 4, players have access to a wide variety of mount armors and horse cosmetics. Among these options, two come from defeating World Bosses: the Treasure Beast Barding obtained from Avarice the Gold Cursed, and the Ashava Barding, which can be acquired by defeating the formidable Ashava the Pestilent.
While Wandering Death does not provide players with a death-themed mount armor, it does offer a unique trophy as a drop. Equipping the Ashava Barding sets a Diablo 4 player apart from the ordinary crowd, showcasing their good fortune. However, it should be noted that this achievement is not quite as prestigious as earning the Cry of Ashava trophy by defeating Ashava while being under-leveled in the beta version.
How To Get The Ashava Barding Mount Armor
The Ashava Barding is a potential loot item obtained from the world boss Ashava the Pestilent by consuming the Reins of Ashava drop. However, it should be noted that the Reins of Ashava does not drop from Avarice or Wandering Death, and even when defeating Ashava, it is not guaranteed to drop every time. In the Diablo series, there are only a few guaranteed drops, and unfortunately, the mount cosmetics in Diablo 4 are not among them. While the exact drop rates are still unknown to fans and unconfirmed by Blizzard, the Reins of Ashava seem to be one of the rarest cosmetic items in the game.
As with farming anything rare in a Diablo title, the name of the game is patience – and praying to the RNG Gods.
Tips For Farming Ashava's Barding (& Other World Bosses)
Not only is the likelihood of it dropping extremely low, but players must specifically defeat Ashava in order to have a chance at obtaining it. With three world bosses in rotation, the chances of Ashava spawning are only 1/3, as opposed to Avarice or Wandering Death. Additionally, due to the infrequent spawning of world bosses, it can take several days for players to even encounter Ashava.
Ashava, the world boss in Diablo 4, is known to be particularly challenging, especially for ranged players or PC players without Force Move bound. With her constant movement and powerful mid-to-long-range attacks, it is crucial to stay close to her and quickly catch up when she dashes across the arena.
Diablo 4 is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S
