The highly anticipated Diablo 4 has kicked off a new promotional campaign in collaboration with KFC, offering players special in-game cosmetics. Despite no official announcement from either Blizzard or KFC, the promotion has already gone live in multiple restaurant locations. Leaks had previously hinted at a second KFC promotion for the game's launch, with an internal email referencing exclusive in-game items available for purchase at KFC. Additionally, models for unique poultry-themed weapons in Diablo 4 were uncovered, further fueling speculation about the upcoming promotion.
The collaboration between Diablo 4 and KFC is currently underway in the US, with many KFC locations featuring special cups and sandwich wrappers. A landing page on KFC's website announced the partnership on May 29, and players will be able to unlock rewards through syncing their Battle.net accounts starting May 30. Even sandwiches purchased digitally through the KFC app or website count as qualifying purchases. The cost of unlocking all five Diablo 4 weapons from KFC is approximately $25, with the cheapest sandwiches priced at around $5. Interestingly, the collaboration was not officially announced by either Diablo 4 or KFC, and some fans have been unable to figure out how to acquire codes from valid purchases. Some KFC staff members also appear to be unsure about the details of the promotion.
Some fans have had success with the KFC x Diablo 4 collaboration, such as content creator Aodan who obtained codes and is now offering to assist other players in doing the same. The hope is that the promotion's issues will be resolved soon, allowing all participating players to access the available cosmetics. Additionally, players can also receive bonus cosmetics by watching Diablo 4 on Twitch for at least six hours each week for a month, with the possibility of earning an exclusive mount by gifting subscriptions during the period. Assuming a seamless code redemption process, these unique cosmetics can be utilized alongside Diablo 4's comprehensive transmog system.
